Silent film vamp Lenore Ulric.
Ulric got her start in films in the early 1910s and played roles up through the debut of the talkies, after which her appearance in movies became less frequent. Named after the mysterious figure in Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Raven,” Lenore said, “Success goes to women who are interesting. Nothing else matters. I don’t believe even beauty matters.”
