wait for it ( for @barneswilson )
not a perfect soldier, but a good man.
i can take so much, ‘til i’ve had enough.
like every captain america movie really:
the god forsaken jaw thing.
portrait series : captain america.
Commander Rogers + kicking ass
okay so i had been spoilered all to hell already about captain america
but
i had assumed it was like other marvel stuff, where falcon is a shield agent, and that “on your left” came out of some kind of shield exercise thing
BUT NO
IT WAS LITERALLY JUST STEVE ROGERS FUCKING WITH A STRANGER
HE JUST THOUGHT IT WOULD BE FUNNY TO FUCK WITH A DUDE HE DIDN’T EVEN KNOW
HOW OFTEN DOES HE DO THAT
is steve rogers just fucking with people constantly bill murray style
does he steal french fries from strangers and tell them no one will ever believe them
does he lift cars when only small children are looking
did steve realize that captain america had a bizarrely wholesome reputation and use it as a way to prank people blamelessly
“Hey! Those are my french fries!”
“Freedom fries,” Steve corrects, chewing. “Mmm. Old Bay.”
“Wait, are you—are you Captain America?”
Steve grins, still chewing. His eyes twinkle as he considers the plate of fries contemplatively. “Maybe,” he allows. “Probably.” He holds out a french fry magnanimously, a peace offering. It’s taken, albeit in abject disbelief.
“Not that anyone will believe you,” he adds cheerfully.
Then, off he goes, sauntering away. Holding a plate of someone else’s fries. Whistling Star Spangled Man with a Plan.
“Wow. Captain America’s kind of an asshole.”
OMG HEADCANON ACCEPTED
I know how much Bucky means to you. Stay out of this one, please.
Steve Rogers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (2011 - 2016)
“He’s hanging onto that helicopter for an extremely passionate reason,” says Joe Russo. “In stories you’ll read where a mother will lift a car off a child. There’s something very important happening in that scene and for us it really represented his struggle as a character, one man pitted against a helicopter that’s trying to take off. Can he stop it? And what are the limits of his strength? For us, it’s one of the most powerful shots in the movie and it’s Chris Evans, who works very hard to physically exemplify this character. On set, we had him straining against a crane holding this helicopter, and you have this fantastic shot of his muscles bulging and you can feel the pain and the energy and the determination as he tries to stop this thing.”
Whatever happens tomorrow you must promise me one thing. That you will stay who you are. Not a perfect soldier, but a good man.
You just don’t know when to give up do ya? I can do this all day.
