It’s probably not that deep but I think a lot about Metal Mario and Dr. Mario’s presences in Super Smash Bros
Like there’s already our Mario who had to occasionally fight with a metal version of himself in Smash 64 while a doctor version of him shows up in Melee. Who are they? Are they clones of our Mario? Are they alternate versions of Mario from different universes and somehow crossed from it to Smash?
Does Mario ever think about how there’s two fighters that just resemble him? From every detail of him including his hair and face? Maybe Mario was freaked out by seeing other versions of himself before he just got used to seeing the two versions of himself like it was an everyday occurrence
I just think there’s a psychological angle that can be found here
