When watching a Let’s Play of the Digimon Adventure PSP game, it felt even more… Obvious that Taichi and Sora have known each other for a long time already. Not only are they the very first characters to appear and talk, but they also generally have a LOT of interaction opportunities. There’s a certain playfulness in their interactions - and they’re definitely not afraid to bring up curious topics.

Digimon Adventure 2020 may not have the deepest character interactions or backstories in comparison to its original, but if you have one episode that:

Acknowledges that Taichi and Sora are great friends, a good team in general as well as formidable football comrades that would go to hell and back for each other.
Shows them being mutually supportive of each other (let’s add Sora to Taichi’s “I call my best friends awesome whenever I get the chance to” list),
Gives Sora SO MANY moments to shine on her own, shows off her skills, determination and capability,
Shows Koushirou be the one who’s observant of them and praises their teamwork,

there’s nothing I could complain about.
