I can’t even tell you how weird this scene was. Koushirou and Sora bond A LOT over talking about or with Taichi in this game, so it actually didn’t surprise me that they talked about him here. Two things though; first of all, this SEEMS to be the “true” version of the story, because it raises the bonding meter between these two. If you choose the first option, Koushirou will tell Sora about Taichi needing a button sewn back onto this shirt, and that’s basically the “non-bonding” choice. Which… I don’t really get. Because… Does that mean they bond over Taichi being a cheeky idiot more than over him genuinely asking for help??? Second of all, I just adore the implications behind this. Because it basically means that a.) Taichi tells Koushirou all kinds of random stuff and b.) Sora seems to be well aware of how Taichi is and what he does. The anime really should have fleshed out this friendship a lot more.

This is the second option by the way:

Again, this scene goes down in the anime almost exactly like this, but I still wanted to include it, because… Both Taichi and Sora are SUCH centric characters to this show AND game and while it’s pretty obvious for Taichi since he’s the main-main-character… It’s so underrated when it comes to Sora. Of course we can assume that the others would have reacted to every character being kidnapped like that… And in this game, everyone literally bonds with everyone (if you let that, that is), so it shouldn’t be surprising. But - Sora, in the anime at least, is actually the ONE character besides Taichi who has nice bonding moments with basically every other character. And that basically in a more elaborate, gentle and caring way than it is portrayed with Taichi.

And everybody also understands that Taichi is completely ride or die for Sora - because they know him, they know them and their relationship. And they feel similarly. Jyou reassures him, Yamato seconds him, Mimi says it out loud and Takeru is his hopeful ray of sunshine. And Koushirou doesn’t even have to say anything, he gathered the group - to which Taichi already reacts rather moved - and has already conducted a whole plan, he basically just needed the go to proceed and was already prepared for everything. 

I love this game.

“Huh… that’s a surprise”, is it really, Jyou? Is it really a suprise that these two are the most worried about Taichi acting weird and confirming that he is actually a nice, caring and considerate soul? I think not.

Sora and Koushirou making plans to cheer Taichi up and making him feel better is the reason why their bonding meter goes up… I love this song.

This game - even more so than the anime - also likes to crush my heart by making Koushirou witness (and kinda commenting on) literally every single scene of emotional turmoil Taichi has to go through, WITHOUT ever giving them any resolution. Yeah, I’m totally okay with this. :)

Even during a nice bonding scene with Mimi, Koushirou can’t stop referring to Taichi… These seems to be a theme in this game.

When your best friend is a research nut that ALSO tends to get himself into danger due to it, so you kindly remind him to take care of himself, which gets him either giggly or flustered. <3

I’m so happy to see that they ended up having each other as one of their best 'Bond’ naturally without any interference *squee*.

I was a bit disappointed to see Tai got the lowest bond with Sora, and Kou with Mimi, though. Especially for the former. Inner Taiora and KouMimi shipper soul is sad.  I guess that must be because Koushiro is not impressed because I have made Mimi failed to solve the ruin puzzles during Centaurmon Arc (Oops), and because I let Yamato saved Sora instead of Taichi…

BLESS. Seeing them talk after watching all of the Tri movies feels like such a rare thing…

Anyhow, I just love that Taichi tries to encourage Koushiro and make him see his own worth. It’s one of the best things of their relationship!  

Koushiro is the one who noticed how troubled Taichi is feeling and my poor gay taishiro heart can’t handle this you guys

This is kinda cute. In this segment of the game you get to do things differently than in the anime, if you want to. You can either have Taichi pick Agumon’s card, Gomamon’s like in the anime, or you can just say “I can’t choose.”

If you pick Agumon’s card though, Taichi accidentally puts the Gomamon one instead either way… And both Taichi and Koushiro just roll with it XD

If you pick “I can’t choose”, Yamato picks the Gomamon card for you, lol.
