While it’s okay to want to “better” yourself in some regard, whether it’s reaching a healing goal or working on things you struggle with, I just want to remind you that you’re worthy as you are. Not when you get there, but right now.
Sometimes you genuinely are too fatigued, in too much emotional or physical pain, too anxious, too overwhelmed or too burned out to do a certain thing - and you don't have to hate yourself for that! You're allowed to respect your mental and physical limits even when they're inconvenient.
Lovelies, please remember two things:
- If someone asks you to not interact, respect them and move on.
- It’s also okay to block someone who is bothering you and not respecting your boundaries.
You do not need to ask someone else's permission to exist
You do not need to ask someone else's permission to exist in your own space
You do not need to ask someone else's permission to exist in your own way
You do not need to ask someone else's permission to exist in your own skin
You do not need to ask someone else's permission to exist
A gentle reminder that tumblr is not the outside world. The way tumblr takes things and twists them out of proportion is not the outside world. The discourse here is not the outside world.
Friendships can be just as toxic as any other type of relationship. It’s okay to cut toxic friends out of your life. You don’t have to suffer through it just because they’re your “friend.” I know it’s hard, but better people will come.
It's far more important whether you're happy and having fun than whether random people think what you're doing is cool.
