I'm not gonna lie, y'all, I'm kinda tired of the "all polyamorous people are board gamers with a lot of funko pops" jokes. They feel exactly like the "all transmascs play ukelele" jokes.

What about it is supposed to be funny? Because it really just feels like another example of "it's okay to make fun of marginalized people for their interests and create weird new stereotypes as long as I arbitrarily decide they deserve it for being cringe."

You don’t have to prove that you’re nonbinary to anyone and that includes other nonbinary and/or trans people.

Trans and nonbinary are still just people, and people often want you to change to fit their expectations rather than make them have to learn something new.

But, learning and growing is what life is about, so don’t hold back.

If you want to discuss a trans or non-binary person's gender make sure that person actually wants to have the discussion with you. Not every one of us has the energy or patience to explain our gender to every single person who asks.

Also, make sure that if you find a trans or non-binary person who is willing to discuss their gender that that discussion doesn't become a debate on whether their gender is valid or not. Their gender is valid. End of discussion.

Literally 99% of the videos on these compilations are just people expressing themselves??? Like, just say you don't have enough confidence to express your gender, or dress differently, you don't have to attack the people that do. Leave them the fuck alone

Not only that, but the people that put together these compilations thrive off of neurodivergent people being themselves. I can't tell you how many times I've said or done something "cringe" because I can't interpret social cues as well as other people can.
