There's a source going around that is hosting footage of the Hamas massacre on 10/7, and I'm not reblogging it or watching it because (a) I am struggling to process things enough as it is, I think watching it would legitimately put me in the hospital, and (b) it feels disrespectful to boost videos of the torture and death of other human beings. They deserve more dignity than that, and (c) we are forbidden to unnecessarily gaze upon the dead.
All I have to say is: I've seen enough of the live footage from when all this first came out and the bodies in the subsequent weeks to know that this is real. If you deny the atrocities that took place, please block me for both our sakes, but I would also love to know what standard of proof would actually convince you. If not video footage taken by the perpetrators and proudly livestreamed, what evidence would you believe? Because I'm starting to think that the real answer is "none." You have decided to not accept reality and in that case I can't help you. You will have to help yourself regain some of your humanity. Find the videos (they are out there) and watch them if you must.
Don't watch it!!!
The Israeli ministry of health literally issued a warning to not watch those. This is meant for journalists and experts, it's meant for people who's JOB is to see such horrors, it is NOT SAFE for regular people, especially if your mental health is already bad right now. You do NOT need to see those things, everyone.
