After some edits I had to make, I finally get to share this old as heck Digimon Adventure amv I made way back in the day of old Digimon fandom!! (you can full view it in slightly better quality here!!) (some of you may remember it?? [younger me had linked it around back then, h-hahaa…. younger me, yeah….]) This is a Taichi-centric introspective / reflective amv to his image song / character theme, “Yuuki wo Tsubasa ni Shite” / “I’ll Turn My Courage Into Wings”, using some of my favorite Taichi (+Agumon line) centric scenes throughout the first Adventure series. (Towards the end I had included a small montage of cute super-quick interactions he had with all the other Chosen since I couldn’t feature them much in it overall due to the length of the other scenes used…) (I did manage to once again sneak in what was probably one of my favorite Taishiro scenes though, hhhhheh.) it’s not the most amazing amv tbh, but negl it still personally gives me feelings to this day…. I hope you all enjoy it too!! ;A;/ (and for another blast from the past, the lyrics / translation I had referred to in making this are still actually accessible here!!)

Original Poster‘s [Mine] Commentary: It’s been a while since I rereblogged this one so; (Time for a rereblog!) ...I’d also just like to point something out here... I made this A.M.V. when I was literally still Younger!Me. Yes, I made it before Tri, etc all aired. Xros Wars hadn’t even happened yet. I had no idea Taichi was going to ever show again near that timeframe. Taichi wouldn’t show again until some 5 years or so later, in Xros Wars.

And ever since then my opinion on Taichi as a character HAS NOT changed (and never will).

(The lyrics alone should be enough of a reason to explain why, I hope...)

This A.M.V. basically serves as my ““meta””/“analysis” of this song / Taichi’s character. If I remade it it’d likely be most of the same, maybe a bit more polished, maybe Taichi-aesthetic moments from Tri onwards / and/or 2020. ..But as of lately I lack the energy to do so. So if someone asked me “What do you ~think of Taichi~ in [x] / Adventure / 02?” ...chances are I’m just going to link you to one of my A.M.V.s as a starter to explain my views, even plainly using canon scenes (since I actually enjoy this series, you know?...) as direct reference points (if we’re talking ‘full’ “canon compliancy”). {Even this video itself had very limited ‘liberties’ taken with scenes placement [aka minimal ‘video manipulation’ done]. Most of the scenes are even in chronological order of appearance) (Soo if you could give it a watch before ever asking me anything like that I’d super appreciate it!)

Re-reblogging because it’s Taichi Support Event TM {personally} on my blog from now until August 1st, 2021 and tBH probably forever after still and. (Yes) this was the very first Taichi-centric AMV I ever made, years before Tri aired but anyway

I still remember, OK, my exact feelings I held & the amount of time (WEEKS) & effort & care it took when I first made this AMV & my opinions TM on Taichi Yagami have quite honestly never changed since even after all these years no matter how much someone in this fandom tries to not-so-subtle convince TM me to dislike this character, his relationships/friendships with literally all of the others, or what he (canonically) (also) stands for - “treating people without discrimination”.
