The Ravens - Loki x Reader(f)

Authors Notes: I’m so pumped for this. I really hope you guys like it!! This is all going to be written from Loki’s POV I think but If that changes I’ll let you know.

Notes/Warnings: boredom, being annoyed, light drinking (I’m writing this as though the reader is of legal age to drink. I do not condone underage drinking, y’all. If you’re underage…pretend I wrote grape juice.) flirting.

Word Count: 1.2K +

  This was, by far, the stupidest thing he’d ever not agreed to do. Too bad Thor was the face of the band; anything he agreed to, the rest of them had to endure. Although, Loki seemed to be the only not enjoying this, at the moment. Another contest, another group of adoring fans who wouldn’t shut up and another night of watching all the girls practically draping themselves across Thor, Volstagg and Fandral.

 Another publicity stunt was the real reason for such an unpleasant evening. Radio stations across the country had held contests to send a fan from their area to the Odinson’s house for an evening of “food, wine and a good time”. Repulsive.

 “That’s right, Folks. If you call in right now you could win an all expense paid trip out to the Odinson Manor. Home of the baddest, most raging rock band, The Ravens. You’ll get to meet the whole band and dine with them at their very own dinner table. And, ladies, need I remind you that they’re all single?”

 So, here Loki sat at the end of the table, lounging in his elaborately-molded, dark wood chair. He frowned out at the twenty faces that had traveled from all over the country for their chance to win the heart of one of The Ravens. The lights from the candelabras on the table cast eerie shadows across his face, dancing around the dark hair the fell over one of his piercing green eyes.

“What?” She asked.

“Nothing,” He tired to bite back his grin. “I just can’t believe you came tonight.”

“All true.” He cut in and she blushed.

The Ravens- Part 1  Part 2

 It had been three weeks since he last saw her in the manor. The night he and his band hosted that ridiculous dinner party, she had shown up and changed his world. Everyday he looked at her number in his phone. Everyday he thought about calling or texting her but the words never came.

 Instead, he spent the time he wished he had been talking to her, to write music instead. He wrote four songs. None of them captured her essence, though. They weren’t right. They weren’t perfect like she was.

 For weeks after he walked her to the door and bid her a goodnight, he struggled to put to music the way she made him feel. The melody wasn’t soft enough, the lyrics weren’t intelligent enough. It wasn’t enough for her.

 However, one night, as he was playing around with his guitar, he struck a chord. He hadn’t meant to, but he did. Then, he struck another, then another. And before he knew what had happened, he’d done it. He’d completed her song. He’d figured out how to write her, he’d figured out how to describe her and what she made him think of the most.

 He hadn’t taken his eyes off of her. (Y/N). She was the only good thing that had come of this night. She may even be the best thing to come from him joining the band. He’d met plenty of women in his tours, he’d even indulged in one or two but none had ever made him feel like this.

 He wasn’t even sure he could put into words what she made him feel. Her eyes shined in even the faintest of light as they toured the manor. He inhaled the scent of her perfume when she walked past him. His heart fluttered every time her hair brushed over the half hidden tattoo on her back.

 She was mesmerizing. She had an air about her that he absolutely loved. And, she was smart. That much was clear to him, even from the little conversation they had, he knew she was more than just another fan.

 The tour moved through the manor and down towards the massive wine cellar. Most of the other fans were fiercely impressed but (Y/N)’s attention seemed to be fading. Instead of finding the expensive wine intriguing, her eyes found the stonework of the walls and the elaborate carvings in the wood beams above their heads.

 “You’re not impressed.” Loki observed with his hands clasped behind his back. He looked down at her briefly as he walked beside her.

You’re able to capture all the aspects of Loki so beautifully, and I love how beneath even his softest expressions of wit there’s an element of raw honesty that he allows the reader to experience. Also girl your descriptions of the mansion! I can visualise everything so clearly it’s insane! I’m so excited to see where you take this.
