Sunshine - Bucky x Reader (f)  Part 1

Authors Notes: I guess I’m making this a mini series because there is just way too much for me to feel good about making it one post. I didn’t proof read a ton so excuse any spelling issues. I just really wanted to start to get this out.

 This whole thing was inspired by @bucky-plums-barnes Halloween day, yesterday. So…here it is lol

AU: Vampire

Word count: 1.5K

Notes/Warnings: angst, spying, minor violence, 

He was cold. He was always cold. His life beyond death had stripped him of ever being warm again. He walked through the rainy streets of the city with his hands in his pockets and his head down; there was nothing new for him to see anyways. He walked this street every night. He wasn’t sure why, but he did.

When Bucky was turned it was on a night similar to this one. The rain pelted his face as he’d lain on the ground dying. He had crossed the wrong kind of men and would pay for it with his life. As his vision faded, he’d felt someone lift him from the ground. He thought perhaps the stranger would take him to the hospital, or be merciful and kill him then as the pain was becoming unbearable.

Instead, he survived. If you call this life surviving.

He listened to the street. Hearing people argue drunkenly or kissing in an alley, a car speeding past on the almost vacant road. Bucky tugged the collar of his coat closer to his neck. It didn’t do anything to keep out the cold but he’d at least look human if anyone was paying him attention.

A group of girls flooded the sidewalk in front of him and he had to break the rhythm of his walk in order to avoid colliding into them. He grumbled under his breath about the inconvenience but stopped short when a ray of sun warmed his cheek.

Caught in the Rain- Bucky x Reader(f)

Authors notes: Since y’all love the fluff….lol This one is from my requests! Thanks @tatortot2701. Also, I rushed to get this out so forgive me for spelling or grammar errors..

Prompt: Okay, get this. Coffee shop au with Steve and Bucko

Notes/Warnings: Vomit worthy fluff and kissing.

 Your alarm clock buzzed and you smiled wide. Six am was no reason to grin but going to get your morning coffee was. You’re local shop was run by two of the cutest baristas in the entire world, and you had the hots for one in particular.

 You showered quick and braided your hair into a messy bun- which worked for business casual- and slipped on your favorite dress and heels. Okay, you were trying extra hard today but with good reason.

 Today was the day you would ask out James. At least you would if you could muster up the courage. You checked your make-up one more time and grabbed your purse and rushed out the door.

 The walk down the street was actually not terrible. A little dark and gloomy with the oncoming storm but, you were other wise distracted by thoughts of your dark haired dream boat. He always smiled at you when he took your order and would stepped away from the register to make your coffee himself.

Authors Notes: Oh my glob. This fic… lots goes down in this and I’m pretty sure its the longest thing I’ve ever written that isn’t a series but hey, what can I say? I loved this concept and I just got carried away.

Inspired By: This post @lalawoo (Thank you for sharing this pic and I hope you don’t mind me tagging you but seeing as how it’s your art I felt like I should) and the concept that Bucky can trigger himself.

Word Count: …3.8K + (Why am I like this??)

Notes/Warnings: Violence, angst, tears, injuries, burns, mention of guns, Nat being a bit of a buthead(sorry, I needed a grumpy gills to move this story along), fluff at the end.

You were his weakness. You had been for months; not that you knew about it. Steve did though, and Bucky hated it.

“Just ask her out.” Steve would nudge in private.

Steve frequently caught Bucky stealing glances your way and he always encouraged Bucky to make a move. Bucky, however felt differently.

He wasn’t ready, he was sure of it. And he knew he didn’t deserve you or even the luxury of thinking about what it would be like to be with you. You were everything he ever thought a woman should be; strong, beautiful, confident, and so smart. You should be with someone less damaged than him, someone who could match you in intellect and who wouldn’t drag you down with a shattered past.

Today, he felt no different. You, Bucky and Steve were paired up on a Hydra operation and Bucky was doing his best to let you handle yourself. You didn’t need his help but all he wanted to do was protect you, to walk in front of you to make sure you never took a hit, but that would mean admitting that he saw you as more than just a team-mate.

Things had been pretty smooth so far, you took the lead with Bucky and Steve at your six. Every corner you turned revealed the same thing; an empty hallway or an empty room. The anticipation of running into someone decreased with every turn, and the nerves became stronger.

One cold night- Bucky x Reader

Prompt/Request:  @nerdyequestrian So bucky and reader go hang out together (they could be dating or just be super good friends) to walk around in the snow and look at houses wth their christmas lights up and reader’s all done up in a cute hat and gloves and scarf and it’s freezing outside but they’re still braving the cold and bucky can’t stop thinking about how beautiful reader looks when she’s so happy and laughing and enjoying herself and they get to some beautiful scene, whether it be a house or a big christmas tree in town or something and she stops and says how beautiful it is and in the midst of her admiring it bucky realizes how goregous she looks in the lights from the tree and they make her glow and he realizes how much he loves her and he just kisses her then and there and it’s super fluffy!!

 Authors note: Shame. Shame on me and my cow. I can not tell you how sorry I am for taking so long with this!! I’m kicking myself… BUT I woke up at 5 something this morning and finally figured out a way to write this now that Christmas is way over. I hope the ending makes up for the terribly long wait, I hope.

 “You ready, Doll?” Bucky asked you from the doorway.

 “I have no idea,” You rolled your eyes as you ran your fingers through your hair one last time. “You won’t tell me where we’re going so I don’t know if I’m wearing the right clothes.”

 “You look amazing.” He grinned. “Just grab a coat and maybe some gloves.” He winked.

 “Ugh, Is going to be cold?” You whined playfully.

 Bucky sauntered in the room and kissed your cheek, grabbing your hand. “It’ll be worth it I swear.”

 Most of the team were already there and mingling but Bucky and Y/N were still getting ready. It wasn’t like either of them were social butterflies- being fashionably late was sort of their trademark.

 “Are you almost done?” Bucky asked as he fumbled with his tie.

 “Yeah, I think so.” Y/N answered from the bathroom.

 Bucky heard a thud and Y/N groaned. “You okay?” He smirked turning towards the bathroom door.

Kisses Series - Bucky x Reader(f)   13

Part 13: Hello Kisses

Author’s Notes: I actually really love this one. A little less Bucky but a lot of what the reader needs. Also, I believe this is where I shifted into third person. I was really struggling to stay in second so I just switched. Sorry if it’s annoying but I gotta do me.

Series Masterlist 

Bucky had been called off to a mission in Brazil with Steve and Nat. They’d been gone for two weeks. Originally, it had only meant to take one but, as usual, there were complications.

 If Y/N was honest with herself, the first week she was relieved to be seperated from Bucky. It meant she didn’t have hide and lie about what was waking her up at night or about what she’d been thinking about when she’d spaced out at dinner or in the car.

 She was free to suffer without interrogations.

 She knew that Bucky only meant the best and that he was just trying to understand what had been going on with her for the past two months but, she couldn’t bring herself to open up about it.

 This last week, though, her nightmares shifted from terrors of being tortured to various ways Bucky was dying in Brazil. Every morning she’d check in with FRIDAY And every morning her answer was the same, ‘Sergeant Barnes checked in last night with no injuries to report’. 

 These dreams. She wondered what her subconscious was trying to tell her. She worried that, regardless of his check in’s, that Bucky was in danger. But, she also thought it was all just her paranoia. So, when the call came in that they’d be coming home today, Y/N was relieved.
