I've been seeing a lot of posts where writers are getting crap for asking for feedback.

And I can honestly say, as a writer who is currently feeling super insecure about her work,

We don't get paid to entertain you. Your feedback is our compensation.

This is really a simple concept. When you want to read fanfiction you don't go to Barnes and Noble. Sure, there are novels based off of TV shows, movies and such but you'd have to pay for that.

No. You come here. Where all of this content is FREE. All you have to do is click the like button or share it to your blog. You can leave a comment, send an ask or even message us directly.

I understand that for some of you, that kind of interaction can be intimidating and that's okay, but most people on this site have no issue speaking their mind and therefore should be leaving some kind of feedback somewhere.

I swear I'm gonna start a strike and get as many blogs as I can to quit posting for a few months...then I bet people would start talking to authors. Even if it was to bash us for striking, at least there would be proof that y'all are capable of communication.
