Role Play? - Steve x Reader(f)
This one I feel like could have been longer but i’m trying to keep things short.
Steve pulled you close and you tried not to spill your champagne from it’s flute.
This op had the two of you playing the role of husband and wife at a fancy party while Nat and Buck snuck in downstairs and hijacked the intel the team needed.
Steve was playing his role well. So well that it was easy to drift into the fantasy of being with him. You and Steve had been close for the last year or so and not long after you could trust him did you start to fall for him.
“Come on, babe, I think it’s time you and I headed out to the dance floor.”
You smiled and leaned into him but turned to the other couples around you. “Isn’t he a dream?”
Some of the women smiled and others looked like they wanted to pounce on Steve and rip his clothes off.
Oh no. You didn’t like the way they stared. Op or no op, Steve was yours.
“That’s why I love him.” You said and looked up at him.
Steve smiled down at you and your heart almost stopped. The way his eyes rested in yours.
“I love you, too.” He said. “Come on, Let’s dance.”
He dragged you to the dance floor then swung you around and caught you against his chest.
“You could have warned me!” You chuckled and took his hand as the band switched to a slow song.
“What’s the fun in that?” He smirked.
“You liked that.” You said changing the subject. You nodded back towards the women who wanted to take a bite of him.
“Who, them?” he asked without looking back. “Nah. Are they still staring?”
You nodded. “They look like they wish I was dead.” You chuckled.
“They’re jealous of you.” He smirked. “Let’s give ‘em something worth being jealous of.”
Steve took your head in his hands and pressed his lips to yours.
He kissed you deeply and strongly. One of his hands snaked its way across your back to wrap around your waist.
When you pulled back you were breathless.
“I wasn’t lying when I said I loved you, you know.” He said softly.
You were still pressed close against him and you wanted to stay here forever.
Just then, Bucky came in over the coms. “Got it. Intel acquired. Let’s go home.”
But Steve kept swaying with you in his arms and said, “I am home.”
