Advice from the Gods

Magical Jewelry advice?

I have been losing a ton of weight, which I am super proud of myself for. HOWEVER, I have 4 rings I wear that I NEVER take off (exception being medical necessity or finger painting with the kids I babysit) And because I am losing weight, my fingers are now shrinking! 

Don’t get me wrong, I am happy to be getting healthy, but I have these rings for specific magical purposes. One is my Shield, on the days I am mentally drained this ring helps me keep my shields up. It is also attached to my God patron. Secondly is a ring that has deep emotional ties to me, not necessarily magical, but helps me feel connected to my path, my family and my Gods. Then I have 2 rings each bonded to one of my covens. 

These are all made from Sterling Silver and one of them is unable to be sized down due to its material. Another one is irreplacable because of the way I received it. (Its a beautiful story I think I have shared before, I might share it again later) Then I have my two rings I can probably resize, but I am not sure if you can resize silver the same way you can gold or platinum. If I can resize them, problem solved. But if I have to replace them, I am concerned about transferring the magical working from one piece of jewelry to the next. 

Any advice or pointers appreciated!

using some salt and water that have both been blessed and then combine them, then sprinkle the mixture around your room esp around the doors and windows. Chant something like "You are not welcome here, be on your way or my wrath you shall fear" to get the spirit to leave.

I would say you need a good old fashioned cleansing. 

On some paper write down everything that you can think of that has been bugging you or nagging at you, use as many pieces of paper as you need and get that stuff out! Then, destroy the paper, burn it, tear it up and toss it to the wind, flush it down the toilet, throw it in a river, do whatever it takes to get rid of it. 

Then, take a long hot bath and focus on the good things you wish to manifest in your life. Throw some salts and sage into the water and voila! Cleansed.

One spell for weight loss I learned ages ago was to take a piece of paper and draw a pentagram (5 pointed Star-no circle) on it nice and big, then above each point write “You will not control me” and put it on the side of your fridge where you can’t see it. This helps you prevent overeating and can aid weight loss when combined with a healthy lifestyle

This spell is not written by me, and it is meant to be performed by the family in question, but it can be altered to be performed by a member of the family or a friend of the family. You can try it, I have done this spell, but I can’t guarantee it will work for everyone involved.

This ritual is for when you feel like you just can't get back into your faith or you have drifted from your Deity(ies) It is a deep soul searching ritual, not to be performed on a whim. I found the original piece ages ago and have since lost the credit to the original author.  I have edited it here for my own needs, feel free to do the same.

I don’t have a spell persay, but I do have a couple witchy tips

I find that carrying rose quartz or Amethyst and just having it in my hand helps me.

Lavender oil does wonders, I drop some onto a cotton ball and keep it in a ziplock bag and smell it whenever I need to (this I usually keep in my car) You can also add a couple drops to dried lavender petals and put them in a satchet for your car or bag or sock drawer. 

Journaling and tearing up paper also help me when I feel like I am losing control. I don’t always write, sometimes I just doodle until I feel a little better.

My favorite spells for Body confidence and self love, are bathroom witchery! Things that you do in the bathroom while taking a bath or getting ready for your day. 

First, Make this water and imbue it with all the qualities you want for yourself, sticking with less superficial things like Confidence, self love, self worth, acceptance etc. (this water is even more awesome if you use holy water or moon water)

Second, fill your bathtub (or if you don’t have a tub, a large bowl of water for spongebathing) 

Add some of your magic water and cleanse yourself. As you clean, envision all of your negative image of yourself flowing down the drain or being wiped away, just picture it all somehow getting off of you! 

I find that I have to do this spell a couple times a month as humans are constantly seeking out better for themselves. You can do this spell as much or as little as you want. 

You are beautiful and you are loved. Always remember that.

I don’t have a spell for this, but you can try lighting one of those bride and groom candles on the wick for whoever you want out of the picture.

(and in my experience, sometimes you have to let the person learn things on their own, no matter how hard that may be. 

Sometimes you just have to say “okay, I have tried helping you, and you aren’t getting it” and then wipe your hands of them. 

I had to do it with my Coven Brother and his wife as well as my father. )
