I regret to inform you the dismantling of everything good the government actually does will be done by an agency named after a meme cryptocurrency.
People who want smaller government making a whole new department of government is just truly satirical level.
Also the OMB literally already exists and is supposed to be the department making sure there is government efficiency so redundancy in organizations for government efficiency is like maximum satire
They're apparnetly going to 'advise' the OMB so they can't even bother to make it an actual department. IDK if that's better or worse somehow.
I'm tired and can't remember proper terms so, this dept will have nothing to do with its stated purpose. Every extreme authoritarian regime has at least one govt body dedicated to enforcement of party line/loyalty. It's allowed to circumvent internal dept hierarchies to terrorize federal employees into social compliance. They usually get titled something bland and officious. In this case, the name is a bland, tired pun.

- This is actually the most hopeful thing I've read since the election. It's hard to believe we'll all be okay just because we're full of spite or we're on the right side of history. It's easy to believe Trump and his administration is a pile of venomous bucket crabs in clownshoes.
- Take that part about grifters and amateur analysts on the left seriously. Scam artists take advantage of panic and desperation, and a lot of us are feeling panicked and desperate. Also, when people are panicked and desperate, their critical thinking skills suck and they don't necessarily come to logical conclusions even when doing their best. God knows I've fallen for scams and dramatic worst case scenarios. The most important thing is to check your sources and be suspicious of dramatic appeals to emotion (though dramatic appeals to emotion don't mean something is false, either).
- Isolation fries your brain. I know there are lots of ways to wind up trapped in an isolating situation, but reach out to other people- preferably multiple groups of other people- any way you can. Volunteering is a good way to do this.

maybe I'm just a boring he/him white guy but inventing about 7 trillion terms to define "man" and "woman" so you can reinforce gender essentialism isn't very "love is love" of you. maybe i just don't have a sexuality but picking and choosing what sexualities are normal and which ones are "weird and predatory" sounds like we're all a bunch of republicans on fox news. if you attend your local pride parade and look REAAALLLYYY closely, you'll notice you can't actually tell if someone's gay or not from their appearance, and there's no way to know if they're "invading queer spaces". maybe it's just me, but when i attended my local gaybar last night for the drag show, they didn't ask for my gay-card with a peer reviewed diagnosis of faggot stamped on it. they just let me in the building. i live a life of bliss and luxury in not caring about any queer discourse ever, and just going "WHATEVER MAKES YOU HAPPY :-)" while booting up the latest cod game. and it seems much more fun than whatever the fuck you people are on about

It is simultaneously true that it’s best to give trans kids puberty blockers if they need them and that if you went through a first puberty you’re not doomed forever like both of these things are true
Kinda like how breast milk is the best case scenario for a baby but if you give them formula they’ll still be fine you know. Like it should always be possible for trans kids to get the care they need but if you didn’t transition as a kid you’re not doomed you’ll still get great results that you want
Like it’s probably better in many respects to transition before puberty but also it’s not too late to transition until you’re dead.
If the only thing stopping you from transitioning is that you didn’t transition as a kid then that’s not strong enough of a reason, bud. Come out when you’re ready but you can still transition very successfully at any time you want.
If you’re a teen in a situation that doesn’t let you medically transition whether because of your parents or because of the laws where you live, don’t lose heart. It sucks that closed minded adults are making you go through that but you’ll still make it there one day and it will be even more beautiful than you imagined.
