Suzume Director: Makoto Shinkai
Shinkai never disappoints but still I was overly cautious to expect too much especially after I was let down by his last project, Weathering With You. I'm happy to report that I was pleasantly surprised and thoroughly touched by the themes it presented, the world it created, and the characters who communicated such deep emotion.
One of the most touching endings to a game I've experienced in a long time. The friendship gained between all sorts of folks who at first were bent and convinced that killing you was the right thing to do only to then forego their own desires to give you strength to survive. And yet it's their unique personalities and selflessness that allows you to "save" them and give everyone a better tomorrow. And while you may not gain exp. points, level-up, or grow strong by going the pacifist route, you do realize how much harder it is to go through life trying not to hurt people and how challenging it can be to listen and understand. Undertale is seriously an all-timer!
Been feeling extremely nostalgic for LP lately, and it’s crazy to think that it’s been 20 years since I first got into them all because of some DBZ AMV.
