Just encountered the idiom "小巫见大巫". Figuratively, it means "to pale in comparison". But literally it just means "small wizard sees big wizard".
And like... No. You cannot just use the words small and big when you're coming up with a metaphor about one thing outshining another in some respect.
Oh, you think the Empire State Building is tall? Well, comparing it to the Burj Khalifah, it's a real case of a... small guy see big guy.
No, absolutely not. Straight to jail. No idea how this one made the cut.
I see where you’re coming from but I feel like this idiom does a lot to redeem itself by incorporating wizards. More idioms should do that.
a valid point I think...
You are NOT going to kill yourself! You're going to outlive that 80 year old cheeto and be first in line to turn his grave into a gender neutral toilet. You're going to make it through the next four years. Do you hear me?
oh also I really like when someone explains why they did the thing while they're apologizing
I want to understand them better and also if they can analyze their own behavior I have more confidence that they can actually fix it in the future
laughed out loud
thats pretty reasonable i guess
can you get in trouble for remembering a detail about someone
