My Lord of the Rings x Star Wars mash up piece.

Having worked for a few years on my medieval Star Wars project I decided to flip the idea for a fun experiment. This time moving the world and story of Middle Earth into a Galaxy Far Far Away.

I tried to include as much detail as possible into this piece and have since expanded the Trooper concepts to further include more variants and realms.

I’ve even mocked up an opening crawl for it:

EPISODE 1

Fellowship of the Jedi

A watchful peace! It has been thousands of years since the fall of the Dark Lord. The Sith Threat has long ago diminished, but their sinister influence still casts a shadow over the free peoples of the galaxy. A limited number of JEDI KNIGHTS struggle to maintain peace and order in the galaxy as the might of the Republic wanes.

Deep in the unknown Regions - DARTH SAURON is secretly rebuilding his armies and forging the ultimate super weapon, capable of crippling free will and dominating entire Star systems - BARAD DUR STATION. All the while he searches for the key to the stations activation, The SITH HOLOCRON.

In the unlikeliest of circumstances, A young Ewok named FRODO has come into possession of the Dark Lords Holocron. He now faces a perilous quest: aided by a fellowship of Smugglers, mercenaries and Jedi he must across the galaxy to destroy the Holocron before it’s too late…

The Star Wars Original Trilogy is peak fiction because they took a fairy tale and set it in space, then they gave the princess in distress a GUN. But even better they gave her a sharp tongue and the power of revolution. They made the “dragon” a depressed cyborg father with asthma who doesn’t understand his own emotions and does murders because of it. And they made the knight a blond Barbie boy who attempts to solve problems with the power of love like he’s Sailor Moon or something.

And then they said, “oh yeah they’re all related btw. All the galaxy’s problems are this one family’s fault. Hope this helps 😘”

While rewatching the food fight from S1E01 to ease my battered soul I was reminded of this gem of an exchange between Wrecker and Tech:

There is a story here and I am dying to know what it is.

Also in what world does the Marauder have racks capable of holding anyone except Omega, Hunter, or Echo. *Especially* Wrecker. Is it 3 to a side and they knocked out one partition to give Wrecker extra space? Do Tech and Crosshair just dangle out of theirs???

Like I am seeing in my mind a situation where Tech is asleep, someone else is flying (Hunter? ...Hunter) and Something Happens <tm> and there's turbulence and Hunter's psychotic piloting (Tech's opinion). The crate isn't locked down so the ordinance pops out and Tech wakes up to find himself pinned to the wall by a missile and is like WRECKER and Wrecker, pinned down by G-forces, is trying to pry it off Tech, while Crosshair is attempting to add leverage with his long skinny legs, snarling about why was this not secured in the hold and there was no room we have that payload for the 212th remember that's no reason to not lash it down PLEASE GET THE MISSLE OFF OF ME IT IS CRUSHING MY ARM what's going on back there??? nothing Echo we've got it under control THAT DOES NOT SOUND UNDER CONTROL

What's funniest to me is the implication that they're trying not to let echo know what's going on presumably because they're still trying to look cool and they don't want echo to know they're categorically not.
