day one: the doctor forgetting clara oswald was literally necessary for the show to continue because otherwise he never would have let her go. they would have destroyed the universe for each other, they would have burned time to the ground. their love for the other was so all-consuming and selfless and selfish and unwavering that the only option for moving on had to be forgetting - and not even that was truly enough, because he’s still searching for her and he’ll never stop.

It's not romance, it's deep love

So, should we really be worrying about what Capaldi said? Because, there is no romance, but DEEP LOVE. Focus on that, please. The Doctor and Clara, realistically, aren’t going to be all over each other, making out and what-not. It won’t be like Eleven and River, which, although it was sweet, was what you would call “romantic.” Yet, I think this “deep love” between the Doctor and Clara is special, something greater than what Eleven and River had, because it’s DEEP, and it’s LOVE. So long as the actors and Steven Moffat don’t pull that paternal or SIMPLY platonic crap, it’s fine by me.

Those of you concerned of River and the Doctor meeting in this year’s Christmas Special and how it will affect Whouffaldi:

It’s true, River and the Doctor had a romance, but it’s been confirmed that the Doctor and Clara have something deeper than that.

“Is it a sad song?”

“Nothing’s sad til it’s over. Then everything is.”

“What’s it called?”

“I think it’s called ‘Clara’.”

“Tell me about her.”

CHRIST on a stick. Judging by this ominous teaser quote from episode 12, the Doctor seems to be talking to someone who is not Clara about Clara. We may be in for some serious pain, fellow sailors, because that last line makes me think something’s happened, and I’m just like:

But at the same time… I’m a sucker for sad shit.

But you know who I think he is talking to! I think he is talking to waitress!Clara who is probably an echo! And yeah he enters the diner with his guitar and then sees her. She doesn’t know him but she sees that he is writing a song or something and asks, “Is it a sad song?” Because he has been sitting there all sad and longing. An then he tells her “Nothing’s sad til it’s over. Then everything is.” And she is like “What’s it called?” And he looks at her for the longest moment, then with a sad smile says, “I think it’s called ‘Clara’.” And looking at him, this echo knows that Clara is someone he has lost and so she takes a seat beside him saying “Tell me about her” and Twelve probably tells her the whole damn story and his confession about how he loved Clara but how he lost her and never got to tell her. And the echo is just sitting there happy and sad to hear all the adventures and story, unknown to the fact that she is basically a part of Clara! And finally twelve prolly gives her a tight hug and leaves hiding his tears.

Yeah and that’s the story of how I die. Bye… I thought i was ready for series 9 but the ending seems like it’s gonna create a blackhole in me T__T

This. This is exactly what will happen. Amd then we will all be dead. Heartbroken song writing Doctor. Its too much.
