It's A Kattastrophe!

So this is the tattoo I ended up getting!  I like it, but I don’t love it - the artist just didn’t get what I was asking for.  It was supposed to be more of a sumi-e style with a really simplistic breakdown of lines...not just a plainup outline of a cat that happens to be in brushstroke.  That said, the artist was talented and the detail put into the strokes themselves are really nice.  I really like the tail....a bunch of the other shapes bother me, haha.  But its ok!  Good experience, healing nicely and didn’t hurt much at all.  I think the artist wasn’t feeling it either as I got a break on price that wasn’t originally in the books. 

So now I’m looking into how to fix it, whether that be expanding on it or altering the existing lines.  Whats there is simply already too much to go with my original style wants but...I guess I’ll figure out a way to make it work.

Getting a tattoo didn’t hurt anywhere NEAR to as much as I thought it would, even on my bony self.  It hurt a bit and was annoying just sitting there myself with silence but once bmouse got there and we talked it was seriously no problem.  The only problem with this is that NOW I’m considering expanding on my tattoo.

I got a single simplified brushwork cat and like....what if I got several brushwork cats, all along the back of my shoulders?  Either all brushwork, or maybe all in different art ‘mediums’.  THOUGHTS IF YOU HAVE THEM.  I don’t want to be impulsive so I’m going to sit on the idea like an adult, but the thought is there.  Definitely would need to find another artist though.  The guy I used was good at what he does and very professional, but I don’t think he’d do something like what I want justice.  I’d need the movement of it to carry across my shoulders and..yeah.  HMMM.
