Random Ted Lasso headcanons because…why not:
- Roy is an absolutely PHENOMENAL cook
- On the other hand, Isaac can’t cook for shit like my guy burns water EXCEPT for breakfast foods. Isaac makes the best pancakes, waffles, French toast, etc.
- Ted and Higgins both go to pride every year and wear a “Free Dad Hugs” shirt
- When Frozen came out, Phoebe forced Roy to watch it so many times that he could’ve probably quoted it word for word (he took her to see Frozen 2 and ended up running into Trent and his daughter)
- Whenever Trent’s daughter plays pretend with him and hands him an imaginary phone, he always comes up with the WILDEST scenarios for their game
- One time at team karaoke (which became a pretty regular thing after the Everton F.C. match), Jamie and Colin sang Agony from Into the Woods and Jamie did the choreography (he definitely didn’t learn it because he rewatched the musical so. many. times. because he had a crush on Chris Pine *wink* *wink*)
- Ted made the mistake of showing Me Before You at a team movie night one time and the entire team was sobbing by the end
- Bumbercatch is the jumpiest mf ever but LOVES horror movies
- One of Jamie’s favorite movies is Dead Poets Society and his favorite character was Neil (he was inconsolable when he watched it the first time and Neil died)
- Beard knew about Trent’s crush on Ted and teased him about it every time he got flustered around Ted
- The only times Roy isn’t the princess when he plays Princess and Dragon with Phoebe is when Jamie plays with her (Roy has SO MANY pictures of Jamie dressed as the princess on his phone and one is his wallpaper)
- We all know that Jamie’s bi awakening was Roy and Keeley but Will’s was Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher in the Star Wars movies
- Will was raised by a single mom who he loves more than anything (I saw someone else hc this and it makes so much sense)
- Bumbercatch LOVES Buzzfeed Unsolved True Crime/BU Supernatural and low key religiously listens to a true crime podcast

- Keeley LOVES the Kiera Knightly Pride and Prejudice (the Mr. Darcy hand flex is one of her favorite parts)
- Dani always reposts the chain posts/posts tiktoks to the “if you don’t use this audio your mom will have the worst day ever” type audios and the rest of the team hates him for it because they feel like they have to repost them too so they don’t have bad luck
- Sam’s tiktok fyp is 99% dog videos
- Sam watched the Ratatouille musical
- Zorreaux and Richard have had multiple arguments in French because Richard insults Canadian French
- Rebecca, Trent, and Keeley regularly meet up for Girl Talk™
- Keeley is that one girl that finds out EVERYTHING about the guy her friend is seeing and everyone is so confused and concerned about how she gets the information
- Phoebe made friendship bracelets for the entire team including Rebecca, Roy, Beard, Keeley, Will, Ted, Trent, and Higgins
- Roy and Beard both have hair ties in their desks for Trent and Dani
- For a solid week of the first pride month after Colin came out to the team, the guys did ANYTHING for Colin to be Allies™ (and he low key took advantage of it)
- Will has a little sister who is significantly younger than him and the team LOVES her
- Ted let his stubble grow out a little bit one time and Trent’s brain short circuited
- Roy loves the muppets (shout out to Brett Goldstein’s love of the muppets)
- Jamie realized he still had a crush on Roy after he listened to the Harry Styles version of Girl Crush (he cried)
- Jamie’s go to song on Just Dance when he was younger was Eye Of The Tiger by Survivor
- Isaac will NEVER tell anyone but he could sing the first two Pitch Perfect riff offs word for word (Colin knows (Flashlight played on the radio one time and Isaac got HEATED talking about how Emily ruined the second riff off by singing her original song))
- When Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) came out, the guys had a listening party (Jamie will deny it but he cried when Never Grow Up played)
- after Mom City, Roy always tried to check in on Jamie to make sure he was eating
- Will’s favorite Taylor Swift album is either Debut or Speak Now

- Colin watched Doctor Who and had the BIGGEST crush on David Tennant (the only episode he will not watch is Waters of Mars)
- Jamie has watched Heartstopper and he cried when Nick came out to his mom (this prompted him to come out to his mom and Simon)
- Will has seen Good Omens and he stayed up to watch season two (he cried)
- Roy has also seen both seasons of Good Omens but he read the book first (he didn’t tell Will)
- Jamie and Will are both huge Marvel fans and their favorite superhero is Spiderman (Will’s favorite is Tobey Maguire, Jamie’s is Andrew Garfield)
- Phoebe (and Roy but he will never admit he helped) made Jamie the “I am Kenough” sweatshirt from the Barbie movie
- Bumbercatch is on Wordle tiktok
- Ted really likes the bad lip reading videos
- Jamie can sing and play guitar
- Isaac can play piano
- I don’t know which one but, Will can play a woodwind instrument
- Dani and Keeley are astrology girlies and have everyone’s star signs memorized
- Keeley and Jamie dragged Roy to watch the Barbie movie and Oppenheimer
- Jan drinks straight milk
- Beard is Henry’s godfather
- Beard sleepwalks and sleep talks
- Jamie has night terrors
- Beard and Ted taught the team the Cotton Eye Joe dance
- Bumbercatch watched all of Corpse Husbands horror story videos
- Isaac has three sisters (he’s the second oldest)
- O’Brien watches the Great British Baking Show
- the whole team plays Stardew Valley and regularly visit each other’s farms
Just a few more headcanons (all jamie/royjamie ones this time)
- Jamie read the Percy Jackson books when he was young and was fully convinced he was a demigod
- (extension of the last one) Jamie is not neurotypical
- Jamie’s mom has never called him by his full name (James) because she didn’t want him to think that she was associating him with his dad
- Jamie recreated the “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” scene from 10 Things I Hate About You to try to win Roy over/ask him out and got all of the guys to participate
- Jamie is a Griffindor
- Jamie likes Noah Kahan and Sam Fender’s music
- Sometimes (not even intentionally) Jamie sings his own chant because it’s stuck in his head
- he also does Roy’s chant (he’s given Phoebe so much money because of how many times he’s done Roy’s chant in front of her)
- Simon taught Jamie how to bake and Jamie regularly brings in treats for the team and the coaches
- after Mom City, Jamie tries to dedicate at least a couple days a month to go visit his mom and Simon
- this is definitely me projecting on Jamie but he has sensory issues with certain textures and the sound of chewing
- Jamie’s dad’s friends called him “junior” when he was younger
