if you donate one single us dollar to the unrwa, you will have donated more money than you would have by clicking that stupid arab.orb link every day for four and a half years. yes, they do actually donate money to the unrwa, but even with tens of thousands of clicks, most of that money is the baseline $90 they send every quarter. from 2023 quarter 4, half a million clicks turned into $380.57. maths out to six hundreths of one cent per click. just donate to unrwa.

Click if that’s what you can give! But if you have even a few dollars to spare, please consider giving directly.
honestly, this isn't even a case of needing "a few dollars to spare" - the logic behind the clicks is that even pennies add up, but, as noted above, it's 0.06 cents USD per click, which works out to 22 cents in a year. so even giving, say, 30 cents every month has a bigger impact, and is probably much more practical for you in terms of time/effort/memory. hell, giving 30 cents once is still more.
of course, if you really can't donate, then you can't donate; i'm not trying to wheedle anyone out of financial decisions they made for genuine practical reasons... but i do feel like there's a level of embarrassment around donating low amounts, like you're failing an expectation or even insulting people, and i just want to encourage people to see this less like a grand political gesture and more like a collection box you're passing on the street. if you have $20 on hand and can spare it, great, but if you only have the change from the coffee you bought earlier, that's great too! something is always better than nothing, and this is a collaborative effort. no-one is meant to solve everything themselves. contributing is enough.
