Fun Fact: When they started Star Trek back up, Whoopi went to Paramount and said “I wanna be in Star Trek.” And they said, “we’re thinking about cancelling Star Trek because it’s really not–” And she repeated “I wanna be in Star Trek.” And TNG got a second season pretty much because they wanted to keep Whoopi Goldberg happy.
