This is even funnier in a verse where Jango isn't dead. Because his preteen has suddenly run away to join the army and convince the "flesh droids" that they need to unionise.

Less angst-y au where Crosshair's chip doesn't activate or something (I don't know, I haven't bothered to figure out the details yet) so he's still with the squad when they pick up Omega and he takes one look at Hunter being a dad with a kid and thinks it looks like fun and anything Hunter can do, Crosshair can do better but instead of trauma bonding with Omega, he decides he needs to get himself his own kid and then on the next mission the squad runs into Boba and Crosshair is immediately like guess what shithead, you're getting adopted today
