As I’ve mentioned before, 2017 was the dryest year in terms of art for me in almost a decade (thanks to having to work on my dissertation + other tiresome real life stuff) so it’s not a big pool to choose from... But at least I managed to make some nice stuff last year. That’s certainly something to celebrate. :)
- A Daedric Tales illustration. A big project that was mostly a year 2016 thing, but wasn’t officially published until 2017 so it fits this category. I really enjoy their music and had a nice experience working with the band before, so this was a lovely project to work on. Also, it’s not every day you get your art on a band shirt!
- A painting of my character Noelie which started as a hairstyle exercise that somehow ended up becoming a detailed character portrait. It took forever to make and it turned out to be a great learning opportunity. It was also featured in The Elder Scrolls Online’s community spotlight alongside with a handful of my other paintings and drawings (and my interview).
- A commission of @looktothehorizon‘s TESO character, Synnove. In terms of final result it’s probably my favorite painting I did in 2017 - I’m still very happy with how it turned out.
- A comic commissioned by @kitty102293 which received a lot of positive response on pretty much all sites I posted it on. “Don’t piss off your healer or suffer the consequences” seems to be a statement many can relate to. ^^
- A little Skyrim/Overwatch crossover I made. This was just a personally fun project since I started playing Overwatch in summer 2017, so it was fun to experiment how these two games would blend together and how these roles would fit my characters.
