Sometimes old posts get new life and the reemergence of this one reminded me that I have a stash of Ye Qianyu paintings. The artist often has a series of paintings of the same gesture but the colours vary giving a wide range of combinations for the simple bordered sarees that he tends to favour. Apart from this there are varying styles - printed blouses, ruffle sarees, ghaghra choli ensembles etc. And the showcasing of hair ornaments and alta on hands and feet.

I’m half-way finished making chapter 1!

Feels like slow going cause I’m still figuring stuff out & learnin - and can’t be happy with my work, yet. I haven’t felt this in a while, but with an old project like this it seems like it always feels better while you’re dreaming about it, and hard to replace those perfect vague ideas;; 

But anyway - feels good at least to be learning! Gonna get there slowly but surely.

hey there i’ve been pretty busy working on this fanzine for over the garden wall and gravity falls

here’s a little preview for one of the illustrations. Its based loosely on the land before time poster but i think i strayed too far away from my original idea.oh well, stay tuned for more.

I’m at the Oregon coast for the week and we saw some sea lions today, so I was inspired to draw some seal…maids!
