I've been in a GLTAS mood this summer and thought I would sketch something.

I wanted to finish this almost 10 yr old piece since Razaya has resurfaced, but I think this is all I can manage in my mental state lol.

I don’t come here that often.
And I’ve already been insufferable online enough but lol I watched Razer’s special guest appearance on that one ep of YJ phantoms and it’s like a long dormant force burst out of me like “a sleeper cell agent code word” as another fan here said.
This took longer than I thought and incorporated an old GLTAS fanart I made almost 10 years ago for here.
I want to thank Giancarlo and Jim and Brandon/Greg for making this happen for us Fanterns, and all of you here on tumblr back in the magical little time we all spent during 2011-2013 loving this show.
Chest plate is nearly done… Gotta figure out how to attack the shoulder pieces and still be able to move my arms… Same goes for the boots. Dx The materials I’m stuck with unfortunately don’t fold too well and I’m gonna need to be able to walk, so…
I have a day to figure this out and finish feathering Tooth. And also work tomorrow…. ahahhaa what is sleep

But I need to find a way to attach the vinyl to the spandex somehow. I can’t really sew it(it would look BAD), so I’m trying to think of what kind of glue or something I can use. :I If anyone has suggestions, I would love to hear them!
As for the last picture, I feel so proud of myself! lol I found a cheap $1 hand shovel thing that’s the same shape as Aya’s shoulder things. I’ll be using it as a mold for worbla pieces.
KIM THIS GLTAS AYA COSPLAY IS AMAZING ALREADY IS THIS REAL LIFE?!?!? Btw Guys if any of you have any suggestions or tips for gluing said things, pls to be letting her know!

I think I’m finally done…………not really. I would take more pictures but I’m really really really tired, I’ve been going swimming lately and it’s just draining away all my energy that I don’t have. Razer has given me so much trouble!!! I did learn A LOTTT with him though, It’s been a very interesting ride! I’m not sure I’m satisfied with his face, but I don’t want to change it now, maybe later if it bothers me enough…
and yeah, I made him a little personal battery thing because, why not? It’s made out of a bouncy ball with polymer clay attached, as well as a painted wire. Hey, it works :D I had also made him a teeny red knife but I broke it before I could get any pictures.
I made a little polymer clay Hope flower, too, just so that I could take that picture with Aya, its really cute.
I’ll get some more pics of them tomorrow, meanwhile:

It’s me again! Today, we have Ghia’ta! I didn’t think anything was going to get cuter than Aya but then I made Ghia’ta and….
I totally failed at the hair, and I do apologize xD I did not have a good ref for the back of her hair and by the time I got one (Silly me, I have the show on DVD :P) I had already baked her and I didn’t want to mess with it more and ruin it xD
She’s super adorable and super photogenic. I didn’t want her to be all alone in the pictures, so I stuck Aya and LANOS in there for company. Ghia’ta and Aya look like BFFs (they could have been friends, OKAY?) lol, then LANOS started being flirty (I had nothing to do with it) and I think I might ship them now, but then I got sad because they’re both dead :/
That last picture is just a picture of my “palette” because I thought it note-able how subdued and pastel-like her color scheme is. Not even the eyelashes are dark.
Well, I have to go be productive now, Razer is still in the works and looking like a total baby. I’m kinda scared of him because the next thing to do on him is model the head-piece and that is just super intimidating.

The universe hates Razer
Jokes aside, one of the many things I like about Razer’s development is that he could replace Kyle as the King of Fridged Love Interests. But nope. The only woman in his life that was really fridged was Ilana.
Aya’s death/turn to evil/death does affect Razer but it isn’t about him, it’s about her. Aya decided to sacrifice herself to save him. Decided to shut off her emotions to save her crew. Decided to delete herself along with the Manhunters to save all life. She always had agency, she never was collateral damage.
Killing off a female character is not a bad thing per se, as long as it’s well written.
This is really interesting, and I'm so glad we are having this conversation, Gabz. I know Giancarlo was bummed and sads about having the series end prematurely for now, because he knew it may have looked like (as he joked) "IT'LL LOOK LIKE WE'RE FRIDGING HER AGAIN" to which I responded "NOoOOoOO IT'S NOT"
EDIT: Though, yes, as others are now discussing, I too would have preferred Aya to stay in the final curtain close, lived on and not have to sacrifice herself constantly if it's framed plotwise around Razer??
But apparently according to staff, that's the crap part of working on a show and then hearing/digesting meta/discourse on character development on things that were finished months/a year ago? :c
I'm still convinced Aya vanishing into the ether became her turning into a white/green lantern presence/entity and is popping in and out of the universe watching over Razer and keeping sad robots from crying.
