Gender Ideology Debate.

Any call for "tolerance" that resists or opposes careful inquiry, and close questioning is not tolerance. Shutting down logical inquiry and investigation leads not to tolerance but intolerance.

The Perversion Of Language: Tolerance.

The word “tolerance” does not refer  to the idea of believing in a certain set of right and moral things. Tolerance is simply the idea of putting up with people that believe in things that are the opposite of what you believe in. This is the classical concept of tolerance or of  toleration that was popularized by the English philosopher John Locke during the 18th century. That is the same John Locke that outlined the principle of  Natural Rights found in our Declaration Of Independence.

A large segment of modern Liberal -Progressive ideology aims to destroy the classical concept of tolerance by redefining it as its opposite. Tolerance, for this ideology, is everyone in society believing what they are supposed to believe so that no one is offended. But in a truly tolerant society there is always plenty of opportunity for people to become offended because there are so many opposing and conflicting perspectives (that are tolerated) .

Intolerance is the persecution of people for what they believe. It has more or less been the typical state of things within human society through out history, and is probably a natural human impulse that must be kept in check (in order not to hold sway). That is the job of the principle of tolerance which emerged within the modern world. Now those forces which seek to reinstate the old order of things (and to dictate human beliefs) cannot simply ignore the modern concept of tolerance; it is an outstanding idea. And so the only option is to attempt to redefine it out of existence.

Few things so clearly show the hypocrisy of progressives, than the silence or in some cases active defense, of George Takei calling Clarence Thomas “ a clown in blackface.”. Takei’s comment clearly transgresses the rules of speech the progressive themselves have set up and so rigorously enforce against their political opponents. That they suddenly go MIA when one of their own uses racial slurs, shows that their outrage is is nothing more than a tactic to silence those that oppose their relentless pursuit of power.
