Austrian Joins ISIS, Becomes Postergirl, Gets Beaten to Death
Samra and Sabina married jihadis. They became the poster children for bored, comfortable, Western women who presumably were so unimpressed with their own culture, their own religion, and their own men, that they traveled halfway around the world to find something that they could actually believe in.
ISIS used these two women on social media to recruit more bored, impressionable teens. However, it didn’t take long for Samra and her friend Sabina to begin to understand the difference between the romantic fantasy of jihad the actual reality of it. Both girls tried to contact their parents in an attempt to get back to Austria. After just a few months, they were “sick of living with the Islamic State.” Sabina was killed during fighting in September of 2014. And a few days ago, it was reported that Samra was beaten to death from trying to escape from ISIS and come home.
Well I can’t say she didn’t deserve it because she did. You play with fire, prepared to be burned. You leave your cushy Westernized home to live in the Middle East among terrorists, you should have expected their strict implementation of Islam.
