Even Greenpeace Says “Most Plastic Simply Cannot Be Recycled.”
The Untold Truth of California's Recycling | Heidi Sanborn
Many Californians care about recycling, but you may not know a lot of what you're recycling ends up in the landfill. We used to rely on China to take our recyclables, but they're no longer taking them.
My guest today is Heidi Sanborn, Executive Director at National Stewardship Action Council. Today she'll discuss California's recycling infrastructure and why some plastics, batteries and other products aren't being processed properly.

If the EPA says “it’s not a problem,” it probably is a problem. Their track record for this year alone is shit, with spilling waste in two separate rivers, so I wouldn’t trust any statement they release. The fact that an underground landfill fire is only a quarter of a mile away should from radioactive waste should concern everyone in the nearby area.
