I would rather light my home with candles for the rest of time than have Google control my lights.
People would probably be a lot less suspicious about these places if they weren’t blurred or pixelated.
I’m not sure if it’s endearing or creepy that Google knows today is my birthday...
I’ll take it as both.
Corporations are once again deciding the laws of America. Cronyism at its finest. I though the left was against the buying and selling of elections and laws? Oh wait, they are only against it when the Koch Brothers are involved. No one else matters.
This is the literal google definition of SJW and I am so happy for it.
So if you click on Google’s Earth Day homepage, it connects you to a “What animal are you quiz?” Interesting result I must say... While this is not what I expected, it is entertaining. I wonder if all the animal answers are as exotic as the Komodo Dragon.
In what may have just become the largest class-action lawsuit in American history, the U.S. Supreme Court denied hearing the appeal of a lower court ruling that Google maps’ “Street View” cars were not exempt from state and federal wiretapping laws.
Why would Google need to wiretap wile doing Street View? If it's just taking a picture of every house, there is no need to collect data from each house.
"Google says there’s little chance the plaintiffs will find records of their Wi-Fi communications, even though their homes appear on Google Maps and Street View. But the company was forced to admit that the code in the software on Street View cars was programed to capture and store data transmissions from unencrypted Wi-Fi networks five times a second."
That is a definite breach of privacy. I hope the court finds Google guilty. You reap what you sow, and if you are not willing to do the time, don't do the crime.
