A @fandomtrumpshate artwork for @alleyskywalker of Theon and Maron Greyjoy practicing archery on the beach! This art is a reference to a scene from one of their fics--go check it out!
A Different Tide by VagrantWriter Rated: M Words: 54,081 Archive Warnings: Underage, Rape/Non-Con Category: M/M Pairings/Characters: Theon Greyjoy/Robb Stark; Maron Greyjoy, Rodrik Greyjoy, Asha Greyjoy, Euron Greyjoy, Balon Greyjoy, Victarion Greyjoy, Aeron Greyjoy, Dagmer Cleftjaw Summary: A reversal of fortune leaves Robb as an exiled bastard on Pyke. The circumstances may be different, but one thing remains the same: Theon and Robb are drawn to each other, even as forces beyond their control conspire to tear them apart. Can they survive malicious brothers, unsavory uncles, and court politics where any sign of weakness can get you killed or worse? Or will they end up paying the Iron Price to be together?
A fortune reversal romance/coming of age novel (seriously, look at that word count!) where Robert's Rebellion fails and after Ned is killed in the fighting, Robb is sent to live as an exiled bastard on Pyke, under the guardianship of Quellon Greyjoy. Because the Greyjoys never fought in the Rebellion and their own rebellion doesn't happen, Theon grows up at home, but as a third son, not the heir, and with the menacing presence of his brothers still very much around. Theon and Robb's relationship is well drawn and a wonderful mix of both sweet and angsty. Theon's relationship(s) with his family are also fun, and sometimes at a slightly different angle than we're used to. There is romance, angst, family drama, intrigue, politics and power games. (And Euron being Euron.) The ending is a bit bittersweet but ties up all the loose ends nicely and with hope, and takes exciting turns getting there!
drawing character portraits to help visualize for my ao3 ff u_u
This Love Feel I (That Feel No Love In This) by @alleyskywalker Rated: G Words: 15,041 Archive Warnings: Graphic Depictions of Violence Category: Gen Characters: Theon Greyjoy, Maron Greyjoy, Asha Greyjoy, Aeron Greyjoy, Rodrik Greyjoy, Dagmer Cleftjaw, Alannys Harlaw Summary: By the time Theon returns to Pyke after ten years in Winterfell, he's forgotten or chosen to forget much of the details of his childhood. He cannot bring himself to remember his brothers fondly, but as it often happens, and to Theon especially, the truth is a little more complicated.
A beautiful character study of a terrifying family dynamic. This fic is about Theon and Maron and is aware that to talk about them it has to also be about Maron and Rodrik and about Rodrik and Aeron and about Aeron and Urri and about Aeron and Balon and about Rodrik and Victarion about Theon and Asha and about all these kids and the shadow of the rest of the Iron Islands, which is both a judgemental presence and a wild jarring introduction to the idea that maybe, somewhere, there are families where people love each other and life doesn't have to be this hard. The bullying, the competition, the cycle of violence and dismissal and yet craving for affection is all delineated so painfully and climaxes in a very touching moment shortly before Maron's death, where Theon finds how hard it is to reconcile love and anger, desire for revenge and desire to fix things
Funtimes in House Greyjoy. Theon’s siblings spend their days playing pranks on sleeping uncles and then framing him. Asha also wrote “Unkle Viky fuks seales” on Victarion’s back while they were at it, and to Theon’s luck he didn’t notice. Otherwise he’d have gone straight for the axe
I really just wanted to draw a shitty comic featuring Victarion with two pigtails
Art block and writer's block. Nice. Haven't drawn or written in a while
Maron Greyjoy is too handsome to be Balon’s son.
Greyjoy Ages Post, Attempting To Be Objective
A lot of people really bravely try to make sense of one of the many parts of asoiaf where GRRM didn't even try to account for the linear passage of time. I generally tend to disagree with at least one of the conclusion, however, hence my idea to make a post with just every information we have, as reference for people to draw their own, just as a fun challenge to myself, since I'm very aware there isn't a canon truth George intended to be gleaned here. Special thanks to whoever started A Search Of Ice And Fire or I would have died halfway through this
Lady Alannys could not sleep. She would wander the halls at night with a candle, looking for her sons. "Maron?" she would call shrilly. "Rodrik, where are you? Theon, my baby, come to Mother." Many a time Asha had watched the maester draw splinters of her mother's heels of a morning, after she had crossed the swaying plank bridge to the Sea Tower on bare feet.
House Greyjoy of Pyke: We Do Not Sow
Alannys Harlaw & Balon, Rodrik,Maron, Asha, Theon Greyjoy
Short little comic about Theon and his siblings. The last page is supposed to be around the time after Theon returned to Pyke and met his family again, just before he contemplates to write back to Robb. It’s loosely based on a short German fanfic by ladyofpyke (x).
