Hi, I’m Irene :)

My pronouns are she/her/hers and I’m from the United States.

If you know me, you probably know from AO3! I’ve held back from making other social media accounts but then I realized sometimes I have thoughts about characters that aren’t full fics and therefore do not fit with AO3.

I’m going to need your patience because I’m not very active on social media in general due to various anxieties.

My current fandoms are The West Wing, E.R, Law and Order: SVU, and House M.D. and I’m mostly writing fic for the House fandom right now but still open to prompts from my other fandoms. My current ships are C.J./Kate, Alex/Olivia, Rafael/Sonny, Kerry/Susan, and House/Wilson.

Please give me prompts! I love to write but am not so great with coming up with ideas.

hey this week is monumentally awful so you should reblog and tell me in ur tags if ur pets like being picked up or not for me

#not at all #she's a bird so the only way one can pick her up is basically grab her #which she understandably hates #she holds a grudge too #if someone who isn't me picks her up she will menacingly open and close her mouth at them for the next couple days #she thinks this is very scary #demonstrating her raptor prowess and (admittedly very sharp) beak #but she is smaller than a soda can #so the effect is limited

i did text @penfoldx about Eibhlin, because I had Suspicions, and she had this to say:

Probably as a failed farming endeavor, because Eibhlin got attached. She doesn’t say this, but, she can’t actually imagine harvesting the meat off them, so it’s eggs and feathers and ‘scientific experiments’. Ostriches are low maintenance so that works. Holy cow, Brutus gonna lose his mind.

I'm still stuck on this. Odin loves birds, but he's not really into husbandry -- falconry yes, where you catch one for the season, train it and release it at the end, but a farm? no.

Devon and Misha are still fairly high if it's in the "start ironic, end up taking it weirdly seriously" kind of vein, maybe (you can RACE them!)

Brutus: No.

I wonder if Ronan might, if he ever decided to take something up, he's got dogs already, he doesn't really like cows, horses seem fun but they're big ........... ostriches? maybe? could be, could be .....

I see this as an "it's the night before Eibhlin's birthday and Claudius has no idea what to get her and is Panicking and Perusing Capitol Websites and he remembers that she mentioned being fascinated by ostriches and so he orders a whole ostrich chick and immediately regrets it but it's too late it's Eibhlin's birthday and alright he's doing this...and she loves it, and it's different enough from Centre small animals that Claudius is actually fine and even gets sort of attached to it...cut to two years later and things are out of control" scenario

Okay, I get people are angry and scared for a lot of extremely good reasons but those posts that are like "we survived one Trump presidency, we can survive another" are not trying to erase the people who DIDN'T survive, they're trying to keep people from fucking killing themselves right now.

A lot of very scared people are currently struggling through relapses, depressive episodes, breakdowns, and suicidal thoughts at the idea of another Trump presidency. If you can't say anything about that without making them feel more hopeless and terrified, then keep your mouth shut.

Also, for ADHD symptoms specifically, if they ask something like, "Do you have trouble waiting your turn in conversations?" and your answer is, "No I'm a grown up I don't interrupt people," but you are constantly finishing sentences for people in your head and have formulated three replies before they finish talking.... the answer is yes, yes you do.

Update again: It is actually possible that while my conscious brain is doing fairly well at ignoring that my sanity and overall future might be over in less than two weeks, my unconscious mind is bent on destroying everything in its path. But it knows I have grown wise to the many types of chest pain it can cause, so it is now branching out.

Basically this whole thing could by psychosomatic. Like basically all the pain that makes me miserable. We shall see.

Fuck this.
