Last night, in a park in the center of the Netherlands, we held our own memorial service for Jonghyun. SHINee, and Jjong's music were played, as we found comfort in each other's presence. Some people cried, others remained silent. We exchanged stories about him, about SHINee, and expressed our concern for an industry that doesn't value an individual's mental health. It was sad, and it was beautiful, and it was good. It felt like a proper send off to a figure who, along with his groupmates, I grew up with. Whom I loved, and adored. Jonghyun, to me, was that friend I knew I had, even if we never spoke. We lost that friend, but gained an angel. Thank you, Kim Jonghyun. You did well.

i just wanna say something to my fellow shawols that have been mocking / bashing exo’s lotto, and calling shinee’s music “far superior”. 

don’t forget you are stanning the group that got big on ring ding dong, a basic as fuck, auto-tuned track whose most prominent lyrics were ring ding-a-ding dong. now i am the the first to admit that ring ding dong is my jam, and shinee’s most recent works are musically out of this world. i also believe that lotto could have been much better without the auto-tune and excessive “yeah yeah’s” littered through the song, but if you admit to jamming to ring ding dong, then really... who are you to criticize lotto on originality and use of auto-tune?

shinee is amazing, you really don’t need to put down other groups to prove that.

Dear Shawols (and otherwise voting members of the kpop community), 

my #shinee #odd album came in today! with a @bumkeyk photo card too! best birthday ever, even if it's just for this.

i’m gonna say this as a shawol to other shawols, because i feel like this is something that needs to be said.

did everyone comprehent that? can we all agree on this? or do i need to explain that when shinee debuted they only had two dreams for the future. one was winning a daesang and and the other was performing in tokyo dome. they are living their damn dream. they are not comparing their sucesses with exo’s, they are not degrading ther own work based off exo’s. 

by complaining about exo’s successes you are talking down shinee, you are making them seem less than. you are also insinuating that shinee (who are well respected, well liked, and often praised idols in the kpop scene) should be jealous of their company junior, or should not be happy for their friends’ achievements.

don’t make shinee into this petty group, don’t do that to our boys. be proud of what shinee does because they reach their own goals and stop comparing it to someone else. please.

((p.s. stop bashing sme for “getting” exo this tokyo dome gig, because sme didn’t do shit. tokyo dome can’t be booked, you have to be invited for tokyo dome. that’s why it’s so prestegious.))
