"Jongin, please," Kibum's hoarse voice pleas into the receiver, "don't go there. It's a trap. They found out and now--" he pauses briefly, spotting his car in the distance as he catches up with his irregular breath "--if they get you before I do, it's too late."
Kibum, never the religious one, jams his phone into his pocket and sends a prayer up above, begging for Jongin to receive his call before it's too late.
