Sizzy High School AU

It’s spelled a little wrong but I think you meant it to read: Sizzy as Buffy the Vampire Slayer fic. Yes. I think you did.

Izzy is our slayer

Simon is our day walking vampire

In this world if a vampire drain a slayer he can gain the ability to walk in daylight. The catch, that they don’t tell you in all the old books, is that it comes with a return of your conscience and your soul.

So Simon is a bit of a massive nerd, he throws himself into new pop culture to forget who he used to be. He also can’t actually interact normally with teenagers because he’s 300 years old. But he goes to high school or college periodically because its helps him reconnect with knowledge and culture.

Izzy is one of those slayers who trained from childhood. She’s in Sunnydale for the purpose of trying to close the Hell mouth.

Simon finds out who and what she is by accident. She thinks he’s just a normal idiot high school student.

He takes it on as his personal quest to protect her to make up for what he had done back in his evil days.

She doesn’t much need protection and he kind of sucks at stealth - vampire or not - so she repeatedly catches him checking up on her and assumes he just has a crush (he might have a crush) but she thinks Daylighters are a myth so never thinks he might be a vamp.

Eventually she finds out.

There’s a big threatening to kill him showdown but it eventually ends with him telling her everything.

They become evil hunting buddies much to her watcher’s befuddlement.

She claims not to like him. He pretends he doesn’t like her because slayer, way too young, he’s just trying to protect her.

He attempts to save her life and usually ends up being the one getting saved.
