I love Helen & Aline’s appearance in RSOM so much! Didn’t expect their initial disagreements and animosity, but it was fun to read. And Alec thinking Aline is homophobic when she’s really a flustered lesbian with a crush is so hilarious.
And then there are little things like ‘hot like hellfire’, or them checking on each other after escaping the fire pillars, or Helen comforting Aline when they see a Rahab demon.
And eeee, their moment at the end is so cute! I love that Aline, who usually seems so calm and certain, is such a mess because of Helen. And Helen being willing to change her plans for this. And their first kiss was adorable.

I really love them, they are part of my favourite characters of the series. Aline in QOAAD was so awesome! and i’m dying for know more about how they fell in love in TEC. They are so pure!

I thought that Helen and Aline would be my favorite part of the book, and they definitely were!
I love how protective Aline is whenever someone upsets her wife. I love that conversation near the beach, with quotes like ‘who hates you? I’ll kill them’ and Aline hugging/reassuring Helen.
I love their bravery when they pull that trick with the Downworlder registry. I love them running the Institute together, and things like Aline throwing a lamp or “I do what Helen wants. What do you want, baby?” “I want a war council”.
I love their conversation about having a kid and ‘every single minute I’ve spent with you has been my real life'.
I just love everything about them.
Helen smiled as she handed a werewolf a stamped form. “How much trouble are we going to get into for this?”
“Does it matter?” said Aline. “We’re going to do it anyway.”
“True enough,” said Helen, and reached for another form.

I love Helen and Aline and their whirl wind romance. They were practically engaged a few months after meeting each other! I want every detail because we get so few.
How much time did they spend together, arm in arm at council meetings, giggling over lunch, wandering Alicante holding hands? How long did it take Patrick and Jia to start setting an extra plate out for dinner as a matter of course, a week?
How quickly did they fall in love instead of just infatuation? Was Andrew worried when his daughter came home smiling and laughing and telling him about this girl she met? How did Aline feel, looking at the Blackthorns the first time she came over and thinking about the word in-law?
It all moved so fast, and I think lying on Wrangel Island with Aline in her arms, Helen was probably glad it did, and I need so much more of it.
