Technically speaking, yeah! She's not much of an alcoholic.
But she sure was when i first wrote her down. She was originally a heavy drinker! But then i came up with the idea of her adopting Gregory, and it didn't feel all good to have that written down, so i changed it.
so in a way she previously was an alcoholic.

She's a bit of a lightweight drinker. Doesn't need much to drink in order to get herself tipsy or real drunk. Plus she's gotta stay functional for Gregory the next day.

Another way is that Vanessa purposely made his memories different.
She altered;
- He THINKS Vanessa has always been his mom, and that he wasn't just adopted by her. Meaning she gave him 'happier memories'.
- He thinks the pizzaplex was just a bad dream! He ended up 'waking up' in bed and Vanessa came in comforting him.
- He does find it odd that he carries around Freddy's head though, he isn't quite sure why he does.
- Vanessa began to drink a lot due to the loss of her son.
Okay so... The eye gone is fine with me, I love some juicy gore... BUT GREGORY NUH UH NO YOU DIDN'T.
HOW DID SHE EVEN LOSE HIM?!
Ill spill a bit of background info on these two.
In my au, Vanessa adopted Gregory pre-SB. Since Vanessa worked for Fazbear entertainment, she usually had to stay there a majority of the time and sometimes had to have Gregory be in the building.
Gregory had his own little hiding spots ( The pirate's cove ship is one of them ) and he often hung out with his friend in there.
At one point before closing time, Gregory's friend said he'd be back and that he was gonna go get a few more snacks.
And guess what? He never did come back.
So this caused Gregory to go out and look for him, meaning he stopped listening to Vanessa's instructions and therefore start the Security Breach route.
As for what happened with his friend, well, he sure does find out!
