Just finished the episode Cathexis with my mom (it’s her first time watching voyager) and we get to the part at the end when the EMH is reviving Chakotay and Janeway puts her hands on his bare shoulder.
My mom says as Chakotay: “Ma’am your hands are on my breast!?”
ofc i’m cackling on the couch at this point as she continues, then Janeway leans closer to Chakotay;
My mom: “What is she gonna do kiss him?”
And that just felt important to share, thanks for coming to my Ted talk, I can’t wait to see her reaction to other iconic J/C moments, might keep yall updated on that…

On what kind of level do you need to be with your coworkers to just be able to walk up to them wrap your arms around their waist and KISS THEIR NECK?
Also notice how he doesn't do it just once, first he kisses her behind her ears and then he goes down more (it took me way to long to realise this)

She’s been calling him cute at cons for years. They clearly had a thing for each other
I suspect that deep down it wasn't just a crush… I think there was much more to it than just flirting and they hid it very well. (and there are a lot of rumors hehe)

And when he asks if she's happy… come on, I don't see him treating anyone else like that… including B'Elana, he took her by force 🤣 But with Kathryn, he had all the patience in the world, because he wanted to enjoy this moment with her, he wanted to know how she was feeling and not just rip her out of this place. Chakotay makes me sick with his love and devotion. And can we just talk about how she takes care of him? I mean, he wasn't just a guy in need of help, he was a man who broke into her house with a gun and who had kidnapped someone… he must have been a thug or at least a madman… but she helped him anyway. And I bet it was Jaffen, not her, who called the guards.

She's simply saying that everyone will be under Chakotay's orders, and of course she needs to rub his shoulder for that… her touches aren't just touches, they're caresses… Oh, these two make me have a nervous breakdown!
They just always have to touch each other. Wonder if it was the actors or they felt it was necessary for the characters plots
Interesting you mentioned that… I think it's both. In this latest Trek event, I noticed that Kate touches Robert in the same way that Janeway touches Chakotay.

"I fully expected for Prodigy to go three, four, five years, because I knew it was that good. And so, the way it ended, JC, our relationship ended in season 2, I thought was a beautiful lead up to something that could have been even more beautiful in the coming seasons.
