Thoughts on KakaObi? Is it possible that you'll add it to Flip The Coin?
I'm not against it, I could even enjoy it I think, but I don't particularly like neither Kakashi nor Obito as characters so I don't have any great investment in it... I'm thinking about it for Flip the Coin, at the very least it will be implied I think, but I still don't know of Obito's fate in the fic so we'll see ! (does it show that I have only very vague ideas of what's coming next haha)
OKAY so I'm finally on summer break after a pretty heavy year, AND we managed not to put the far right at the head of the country this time, so I get to relax a bit. Will be working on Face the Change for the next few weeks and hopefully put out a chapter or two! Thank you all for your support and patience.

So I read @inrainprose ‘s fanfic, Flip the Coin, currently reading Face the Change(Flip the Coin’s Naruto Shippuden) and I really like it so I drew fanart for it (yes I did ask if they allowed it, and they said yes)

Posting some of the homework I did for my storyboarding class! I chose @inraindrawz Flip the Coin naruto AU, scene from Ch. 26. That was my favorite fight scene basically ever lol. I'd recommend you give it a read!
This was really good practice and I need to work on my spatial awareness + not crowding the frame too much mostly.

Scene: Chapter 4
Well, I read this fanfic a long time ago, and I can't explain how I felt.
I fell in love with the story. So much so that im wanted the whole world to see her. That is why I gave myself the task of translating it into Spanish. You can find it on Wattpad as "Lanza La Moneda"
And this was my favorite scene, because it told me how hard the world can get, and how helpless it leaves us. Besides that I love the Sakura of the story.
I thank the author for writing my favorite fanfic, and how happy it made me feel ♡

Do you plan on writing the meeting of Naruto and Minato in as a flashback? I'd love to read the anger xD
That would be pretty satisfying ^^ I don't plan to add it to the main story cause a fb now would be a bit out of nowhere, but I always planned on doing a side collections of missing things for this fic, so maybe it will go there!

Always hehe. Thank you for asking :) Here's a piece from my next BL One Shot:
“You know I’ll keep asking if you need to, right? I don’t mind. It’s not a- a hardship or a bother or whatever you’re thinking.” “I know. And I know you would. That’s why you don’t have to, I…” And Uea is a little mad at himself for leading to this confession in the bathroom at work, but he doesn’t want to push it back now that they have worked up the momentum, now that it’s at the tip of his tongue. “I trust you.” It is but a whisper breathed into King’s mouth, but it’s as loud as a chorus of drums in the silence between them, it the weight of it. Both the fact that it’s true, and that he was able to say it at all, are equally earth-shattering. King leans back a little just so that their eyes can meet, just so that he can look at Uea and know for sure. His face is split into a bright, awed smile, that he quickly presses against Uea’s own, kissing him soundly. Uea is eager to respond, happy for the distraction after this frayed exchange. They are interrupted, as they should, by their irate coworker complaining about having to do all the work while they sneak around. Uea hugs Jade to smother his protest and promises to do overtime with him to make up for it. King follows, of course. They still wait for each other after hours, as it makes for a good excuse to go back to either of their apartment together. Not that they need an excuse. It’s not like they have a quota or anything.
And something from the next chapter of Face the Change, supposedly. Fun fact I wrote this scene like three chapters ago and keep pushing it back cause it doesn't fit, but I do want to get it out there and it's been requested many times:
“My father.” “He’s alive?” “No.” Naruto laid a hand on his stomach as he often did, a gesture of comfort even though he couldn't feel it, and it couldn't be said to have brought him any comfort at all. But there was a warmth – real, or imaginary – coming from the tether, from his irrevocable link with the Nine-Tailed fox. The beast would nestle against his hand at times, would let himself be soothed, just for a moment. Maybe they could have been friends, truly, they could have trusted each other and gone through this together. Naruto wouldn't have been alone then. But how to ask it of a prisoner? Naruto was as trapped as the fox was, but at least he could still be a part of this world. “I met him in the seal. Since he was the one who laid it on me. He was the one to defeat the beast and seal it into the nearest vessel available after the previous one had failed. Did you know that removing a tailed beast is almost certain to kill its host? We didn’t try, we didn’t want to put it to the test. It has proven true until now.” “I don’t understand. The one who defeated the Kyuubi was…” It was such a simple, straightforward conclusion. Naruto had felt very stupid not to have ever considered it before. The resemblance was striking, and the story was well-known. The face well-loved, up there in the mountain. Then again, upon learning of his past, Naruto had not leapt to the conclusion that the one sacrificing him to the fox had been his own father. “The Yondaime Hokage was a great master of fuuinjutsu,” he recited quietly. Naruto had hated the man on the mountain as soon as he had discovered he carried the Nine-tails within him. The man was said to have vanquished the fox, but what kind of victory was this? It had to be punishment more likely. How terrible Naruto’s heritage must have been, that he had been burdened with such a fate as retribution. It turned out this was his heritage exactly. This was the family heirloom. A cage, like his mother before him. And what, like his children after him? He wondered. He wondered how she could ever have a child. How she could ever feel love. If she agreed to this, if this was why he was born even. His father had not been helpful with these interrogations. But Naruto had let him talk very little.

I just finished reading the first part the other day and decided to color a sketch I made while reading!
it’s not great and is a direct result of my inexplicable hatred for warm colors and inexperience in coloring my sketches but I tried lol. The hair isn’t correct, but this is for some reason what I pictured as I was binge-reading it~ (also ßlease kindly ignore the fact that I gave her Kisame’s sword for some? Reason?? Instead of Zabuzas thank you I was very sleep-deprived while drawing)

Everyone should read “Flip The Coin/Face The Change” from @inrainprose @inrainbowz @inraindrawz on ao3. The interpersonal relationships and emotions of ALL the characters are… spectacular. Each one is treated with so much care.
This is my interpretation of “Jin”, the very 1st OC I have fallen in love with.
They grew up in a Kiri prision, so I don’t think they had a mesh t-shirt or any other ninja wear, but I just thought it combined with the yukata :’v Maybe I’ll change his outfit later xD
Also, I really like that each jinchuriki refers to them by a different pronoun instead of changing it in the same POV/paragraph, it really helps to avoid confusion :) since there’s a lot of characters on scene when they’re there xD and we get to see a little more of how thw other jinchuriki perceive them ❤️
I can’t wait to see their interactions with the other jinchuriki, and with whoever else finds out about their existence! , Hokage, Konoha Kiri nin everyone!

Hey! I randomly came across flip the coin on ao3 and have been obsessively reading it for the past few days (it’s so good!! I absolutely love how you write team 7) and a small detail just caught my eye so I was wondering if the ocs that were guarding danzo were named after the same characters from clamp’s tokyo babylon and x/1999? I’m a huge clamp nerd so I was like OOOOMG and I’ve noticed there seems to be an overlap of naruto and clamp fans on tumblr (at least in my corner) so I thought maybe it wasn’t a coincidence? Even if they aren’t it’s still such a great fic and thankyou for writing it!!

And yes it's absolutely a reference to those! I'm also a big Clamp fan and I wanted to nod at it in some way, even though it's not the happiest filiation... I'll probably keep on with that, I don't create that many OCs but well. It's also because with the multiverse thing going on in Clamp, this can even count as a crossover :p

I've probably left a dozen comments on the FTC installments about how much I love Shisui and Naruto's brotherhood but I cannot and willnot stop thinking about the part where they "clash" in Face the Change and Uchiha Goddamn Shisui, Mr. I will stand against my clan for the good of Konoha and I might even kill them, chooses Naruto over Konoha without a second thought, keeps his promise. He's probably the first person to show Naruto true conditional love (as much as I love sakura and sasuke and I know they do, the whole "i will tell your friends you're the kyuubi jinchuuriki if you don't behave" thing means he's inherently got That Fear with them) and i love it so much. truly one of the best dynamics ever <3
With everything that happened Shisui has done some thinking over the whole "loyalty to the village no matter what" mentality I believe. It's not as obvious as with Itachi but he was deeply affected by what almost happened too, and so it makes more sense to him now to try to be loyal and just to his own beliefs and the people he cares about.
I have to say I didn't really set out to develop this relationship when I started but I'm happy it turned out this way. I've come to be very fond of it too. And yeah it's completely different from Sakura and Sasuke because they still struggle with this balance between duty and personal feelings and also their feelings are all over the place in general haha. They want to have it all and for everyone to get along without making any sacrifice or changing anything, and they don't know it's not possible, but Shisui does.
When I wrote this promise he made to Naruto I knew it would come back like this hehe. I'm glad you like this! Thank you again :)
How do you think "Flip the Coin" could happen in the canon scenario? Even with Iruka alive, Naruto still would wanting to leave Konoha. Even after his clan being massacred, Sasuke still would become a medical-nin. After years of bullying and her friendship with Ino being cut, Sakura would want to be Hokage in order to be respected and surpass her ex best friend.
lt would work if someone took Sasuke in after the massacre. Properly took him in, helped him heal from it and give him a life, something to live for. If it was Iruka, it would justify him not paying as much attention to Naruto, thus isolating him even more. Naruto wouldn't find a kindred spirit in Sasuke and his pain and it might even feed his resentment, to see him so cared for even as an orphan, while Naruto has to remain alone.
With love and care Sasuke could be inspired to become a healer and protector instead of thirsting for revenge, and with no support whatsoever Naruto would want to leave eventually. As for the Hokage thing, I tend to resent that Naruto never got passed the "become the chief of the whole place and responsible for their lives and wellbeings just so that you'll get some modicum of respect and love" so I wouldn't go there for Sakura. I can see her having a very strong ambition and simply deciding that no one is doing a good enough job of running the place. It could be fed by a healthier friendship with both Sasuke and Ino. It's a trio I would rather enjoy.
I like the idea that they would have no relationship with Naruto whatsoever. He'd just be that weird angry kid always picking a fight and getting scolded and they would all give him a wide berth. They would be pissed to be teamed up with him, it would probably blow up in their face. They would be sent after him without knowing a thing.
Of course Sasuke wouldn't totally let go of his rage, and Naruto would probably feed into it. I would have them being stuck together like maybe Naruto sort of kidnap Sasuke because he found him and he can't just kill him y'know. And they reluctantly team up to do some murder-revenge. And they fall in love obviously.
Something like that, I guess ^^
The next chapter of Face the Change is going to take a while, a little because I'm obsessed with Not Me lately and have to ride it out before I can focus on something else again, but mostly because I'm undecided about the next two chapters, as I don't know which one should come first, and I'll probably have to write both of them entirely before I can decide. Please be patient! I'll do my best :)

It’s been two years. Sakura wandered the land with Jiraiya, Sasuke trained under Tsunade and Naruto… Ah. Who knows? Well, the world is about to find out.

Honestly I feel like Jiraiya could have an interesting sort of redemption! I agree that if not for emotional value his death doesn't seem very valuable either, unless it happens offscreen and is just mentioned in passing if you just don't feel like writing him further.
Yeah me too, I want him to confront his failures and to apologize to Naruto... If I kill him it will be off-screen yeah, I'm not gonna write that fight, but it feels kind of a waste. Then again as someone else pointed out I also need to even out the playing field a bit because for now the good guys have a lot more fire power than in canon... That's also why I built up the zombie card early lol but still. If the jinchuuriki get involved as well we're gonna need a lot of zombies. What do, what do.
