Authored by you: Find your precinct. Report any issues. See where we’re tracking problems throughout the day. Because it’s your right, people.
If you click on this link about voting (or the giant one in my sidebar), it will take you to information on voting by state (times the polls are open, info on early voting, what you need to bring with you, etc.) In an ideal world, I would have linked to a non-partisan site, but I couldn't find one that had as much information, for as many sates (aka all of them), in such an easily navigable layout as the site maintained by the Obama campaign (for comparison, usa.gov mostly provides links to each individual state's websites, which have varying levels of clarity and navigability). Regardless of your politics, I think we can all agree that it is in the Obama campaign's favor to provide accurate voting information, so it remains a valuable source of information.
Please make sure you vote if you are eligible to do so.
Make sure you know who you want to support, what to bring with you, where to go, and when to go.
Why? Because this is your chance to have a voice in your government by choosing representatives who actually represent you.
Ahh, VH1, back to your first loves Barack Obama and Darren Criss…
We can determine who has the right to marry, who has the right to choose, what possessions should be outlawed and whether or not we should legalize.
Filling out my absentee ballot application! Even if you can’t physically get to your polling place on election day, make sure they get your vote! (I don’t have a handy link to help you find info on applying for an absentee ballot, but I always just google ‘Indiana absentee ballot’ to find the form, and I would imagine that’d work for other states too.)
i cant tell whether vh1 or barackobama is my favorite blog and it is distressing me
Does the president ever reblog Darren Criss gifs? We think not. POTUS: Needs more Darren GIFs!
Hey, Darren: Should everybody register to vote and bug their friends to register to vote?
Your move, VH1.
Here, let Darren explain exactly why you should register:
It really bothers me when people don’t realize how much privilege is just reeking from statements like “i vote conservative because of my fiscal beliefs even though i’m socially liberal”
you are LITERALLY saying your own damn wallet matters significantly more to you than the livelihood (and lives, in many cases) of PoC, LGBTQIA folk, cis-women and everyone else who needs and deserves access to basic reproductive health services, non-European immigrants, Muslims and people who “look” Muslim, the unemployed poor AND the working poor (hey didya know many of the people at and below the poverty line hold jobs, often 2 or 3?), etc…
people who do not have the freedom to vote “with their wallets” instead of with their identities, people who are increasingly losing the “guaranteed” right to vote AT ALL (hint: that’s GOP strategy, not a coincidence)
and if you think capitalism, especially unregulated capitalism, doesn’t DIRECTLY FUEL the perennial subjugation, genocide, rape, and brutalization of the “special identities” whose lives are worth less to you than your own wallet…
then i guess i don’t need to try any harder to prove my point about privilege, do i?

Your sticker idea is PERFECTION. I’m so sad that they don’t give out voting stickers at my precinct :(
awwww :( I assume my precinct still give out stickers. I've never actually voted in person before. I've always been at school. Even this past May when I was living at home, I was visiting school on election day. My mom got a sticker when she voted early though (it says "I Voted. Early." there was a lot of suppressed snickering going on when I saw it.)
The idea is, sadly, not completely original. The third season of The West Wing came out on dvd on election day in 2004, so we stuck my mom's sticker on the box. We were more pleased with our dvd purchase than with the outcome of the election, sadly.

My dad's schedule got totally upturned for tomorrow. So I reminded him to remember to vote even though he's going to be much busier than he original had planned. He thanked me for remembering.
Like I could forget.
