Thank you so much it really is a pleasure. While other blogs chose a selection of posts that casts an eye inward on the irresponsible writing choices and inequality of today’s modern Glee, I’ve chosen a selection of posts that speaks to the fandom as a whole during these troubling times filled with character uncertainty and unbridled social wank because if there’s two things fandom needs right now, it is sunshine and orgasms. Also cacti.

As always I’m late and after reading reactions I don’t have anything to add except that the scene with Andrea in the beginning was completely hilarious. My first thought was that Ryan Murphy agreed with Mika Brzezinski and making fun of the incident was so much his style. I haven’t laughed so hard since the Good Will Hunting reference in Community.

Oh, thank you for explaining that reference!

Here’s the video, for others like me who never heard of the incident before. They are even wearing the same shade of blue.

I still maintain my theory that the guy behind Hunter is a Ryan Murphy self-insert. What do you say, Tumblr?

Do you write fanfic? Do you want us to read it? Do you want to meet Jeff Davis and tell him what a gift he is? Reblog this, help us get the world out and get to writing!

Full rules here: http://on.mtv.com/Nmj1tF

Is the Teen Wolf fanfic contest a nice tie in to our Ultimate Slash Madness Tournament?

I don’t think they fully grasp what they are asking here…

Oh, I think they’re fully aware of what to expect

So I had some Finn thoughts, okay, yes.

“Remember when I told you come at me with the crazy right off the bat my head goes all empty and I can’t really have a productive conversation?”

Reminded me of:

“I thought we agreed the ‘everything we did wrong this week’ list was hurting more than helpful.”

Finn and Quinn went to Miss Pillsbury back in Season One when their cool cred dropped, and Finn really liked the sunglasses idea. What if he goes back every one in a while, like when he’s having girlfriend troubles, and she helps him come up with ways to deal with communication problems?

[maybe that’s where he got the IPad]

I like the idea that Finn got the phrase “productive conversation” from Miss Pillsbury, though she would not be happy with him calling anyone, or anyone’s conversation topics/styles, “crazy”.

Both of these quotes are Finn trying to get Rachel to talk with him in a way that doesn’t upset him or make him check out of the conversation.

Actually…this really makes me re-think the comment he made ages ago (don’t remember which episode, don’t remember which season) about not paying attention much when Rachel talks.

Especially with the slow-motion moments we got with him in Season One, when the audio would get really distant.

[Also maybe Kurt got the idea to go to Miss Pillsbury from Finn, back when he and Blaine had issues in Dance With Somebody]

Ah, freak out Le freak, c’est chic Freak out Ah, freak out Le freak, c’est chic Freak out
Have you heard about the new dance craze Listen to us, I’m sure you’ll be amazed Big fun-

Will decides to stay, and once again tries to recreate the time they won Nationals. Freak Out was part of their setlist back then.

Unfortunately, there’s nothing ‘chic’ about being a freak/freaking out at McKinley. (As shown in Theatricality) There’s a difference between freak and loser. Being a loser means you’re not succeeding, but being a freak means you’re different in one way or another.

It’s an attempt at showcasing their freakiness, but it doesn’t work in the way that for example Lady GaGa does. Both the costumes in Theatricality and Born This Way were about accepting yourself and your flaws. But they were also very personal

This is supposed to advertise Gleeclub, particularly when you look at the lyrics that get cut off thanks to Mercedes:  “Big fun to be had by everyone It’s up to you, It surely can be done Young and old are doing it, I’m told Just one try, and you too will be sold It’s called Le Freak! They’re doing it night and day Allow us, we’ll show you the way ”

Will tries to use ‘freak’ as a selling point as to why others should join. And of course Gleeclub being safe for everyone is important, but nobody wants to be told they’re freaks by the people inviting them in.  And obvious example is how Kurt’s argument to why they shouldn’t do this song is because it’s really gay. There’s no reason to let him do anything really gay unless he chooses to, because he’s not ready for that kind of announcement yet.

None of the kids like it. None of the kids want to promote themselves with this.

During the dance, Artie can’t turn around as quickly as the others, and he falls completely out of the choreography. When Rachel nearly kicks Mercedes in the face, he’s trying to get back into the line. Which is an instant fight for the spotlight in a song without a solo, by the way.

Film Adaptation of the Day: Street artist Shepard Fairey is reportedly teaming up with Brian Grazer and Ron Howard’s Imagine Entertainment to bring a new film adaptation of George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four to the big screen.

Julie Yorn’s LBI Entertainment, which has been spearheading its own attempt to make a 1984 movie, will be joining them.

The best known cinematic adaption of the iconic novel to date was Michael Radford’s 1984 film starring John Hurt as Winston Smith and Richard Burton as O’Brien.

Little is known at this point about the Fairey/Imagine/LBI effort, but potential writers are being contacted and Fairey himself is expected to take on a production role.

AU Glee → The Humythe brothers

Inspired by the AU Glee sibling madness, the fact that I’ve always thought Grant and Chris kind of looked like brothers and the fact that the mother of Grant’s character on CSI will be played by the actress who plays Carole on Glee.
