Rachel in jeans!  Huh. Aside from the 4x16 still, have we ever seen Rachel in jeans before this? I know she wore pants while dating Jessie, but they were mustard yellow, iirc. I wonder if this is meant to signify comfort in her own space & skin (Brody is absent, right?), a growing authenticity as she comes to break free of her delusions about Brody and stuff (she’s giving up the sophisticated modern-relationshipped NY woman costume?), or maybe even low mood or apathy—depression over the pregnancy? I hope not the last so much, because I am so happy when Glee dresses their female characters in pants, I don’t want it to mean sad things. They do it rarely enough that it really stands out to me as a jeans and trousers wearing female person.

Kurt’s sweater looks comfy & snuggly. After thinking about sweaters yesterday, I kinda want to go back and note times Kurt’s worn bulkier snuggly sweaters. I keep thinking of the one from Michael when he was making his list of revenge tactics & missing Blaine, and the fuzzy red sweater at the end of “I Do”. Are they wearable hugs?

I honestly think one of the challenges of evaluating fashion this season is the fact that Kurt and Rachel are in their apartment. I don’t know about others, but the SECOND I get home from just about anywhere I’m putting on yoga pants and a T-shirt! Even if I was dressed casually for the day (which is often), I just want to be really comfy when I get home. 

So I don’t know! We’re getting new glimpses into their wardrobe at HOME more often. Too, as far as Kurt goes, I think his wardrobe has changed a lot since NYADA, post-internship. I think a lot of it has to do with money. His clothes seem less elaborate, and I think that’s a reflection of the amount of money he’s trying to channel toward being able to afford school.

But Rachel in actual jeans? I don’t recall ever seeing that before!

Rachel wears jean capris in Acafellas when ND does the final bit of choreography practice in the choir room when Will comes back at the very end of the episode.

I think there's one other time, but I can't remember it right now.
