Thank you so much it really is a pleasure. While other blogs chose a selection of posts that casts an eye inward on the irresponsible writing choices and inequality of today’s modern Glee, I’ve chosen a selection of posts that speaks to the fandom as a whole during these troubling times filled with character uncertainty and unbridled social wank because if there’s two things fandom needs right now, it is sunshine and orgasms. Also cacti.

How did you meet?

Jonathan Groff: We met a couple of times that Sutton won’t remember, cause I was asking for her autograph.

Sutton Foster: I don’t remember the first time.

JG: Of course you don’t. I remember every time. (laughs) Now it’s the point where I’m standing next to Sutton and it starts to get awkward—it always happens—because the conversation goes to my sort-of-obsession with her. We met the first time at the [Thoroughly Modern Millie] stage door with my mom. It was the middle of January.

SF: I didn’t care what I looked like, because I was freezing, so he has this horrible photo of me with like an Elmer Fudd flap hat, tied with a scarf, and a jacket. Because I was like, I’m not gonna get sick, I’m not gonna get sick, but I looked like an idiot. JG: You were so nice, and so present. It meant so much to me. So then a year later you came through Philadelphia and you did a concert, and I had a list of questions that I had written down.

SF: You stopped me in the lobby. I remember this.

JG: (incredulous) You do?!

SF: I do.

JG: I’m shocked you remember that. I asked you so many questions, and I wrote down your answers.

SF: (laughs) Who knows what I said. JG: You said such good things. I’ve thought about you every time I’ve ever walked out a stage door—literally—because it was so life-changing to talk to you. You know the kids at the end of [the line at the stage door], the ones who have waited the whole time, who are so adorable? When I was doing Spring Awakening, I would take them on the stage and engage with them in such a serious way, because of the way you had engaged with me. SF: That’s very sweet. There’s an amazing symmetry to the moments captured in this set, and—wow—I never quite noticed the acute vulnerability in Blaine that day he transferred to McKinley. Oh, boys.

This is so interesting. I can’t stop staring.

So much of this is Kurt smiling to Blaine it’s okay. And wow, yes to what Misqueue said.

And in the last one, it’s Blaine telling Kurt “It’s okay” back. And Kurt hearing it.

It’s such an important moment, and so quiet.
