I was talking to my dad about renewable energy and he was like “the only problem with solar farms is they take up so much space.”
And it made me think about a city and how much sun exposure all the rooftops in a city get and…why not just make the city it’s own solar farm by putting solar panels on every rooftop?
also? Every fucking parking lot could very easily become a solar farm and get the double benefit of sheltering the cars beneath!
Seriously. I love being under stucomcI love the atmosphere of parking garages and tunnels. Give every parking lot a roof. Put them over some streets and highways too; it'd also create routes that are never shut down by snow.

I do like this dragon, but he doesn't work at the size I prefer to print my merch. He does look fine when held, but he's too detailed to pop at a reasonable distance when I bring this design to conventions. "sales are made from 10ft away" or whatever I won't be ordering more for my IRL stuff once I run out, BUT this is available print-on-demand from RedBubble
I'm sorry but if someone not only willfully chooses to dehumanize my friends or loved ones for no reason but hopes that same dehumanization will become U.S. law (ie the concept of "illegal aliens"), I will call that person an animal, filth, cancer, trash, sewage, troglodyte, unprocessed fertilizer, undercooked dog food, a thing, a mutant ghoul, a screeching blob of meat or any other mean thing I feel like. My words can never amount to anything but a harmless symbolic expression of the respect I have for them, which intentionally reflects their respect for others. That is the point. Their words however are an expression of how they want to treat other people in actual practice, as demonstrated by the legislation they advocate for.

Some of Van Gogh’s best work was done during a period of his life that he spent in a hospital being treated for his mental health problems. I could be wrong but I think Starry Night was among those.
This is consistently the case. Creators tend to do their best work when they are in a healthy place and receiving proper treatment and not being self destructive in their efforts to cope. Go figure.
All our experiences, good and bad, inform what we create, but suffering is not the price of great art. Suffering is what prevents artists from completing great art.
(I bring to mind this @tkingfisher / Ursula Verson quote about once a week <3)
this is a Nazca ceramic vessel from the ica region of Peru made anywhere between 200 bce and 600 ce but don't you feel like you could log on to any website today and see this face as someone's avatar. pre-Columbian rantsona
I just looked this up. Nazca pottery is just Like That.
These are just all the most Tumblr-ass webcomic characters ever and they're all from 800BC
