Happy Birthday Hiccup! (February 29)
ooo this is beautiful! green/red at the top and blue/red at the bottom. he’s so beautiful and I love him so much <3
#this episode seriously made me cry #look at his fucking face#and tell me he’s not more terrified #right now #than he has ever been before#because these people #these humans #that he loves #that he would die for#again and again #are the things #that are now wanting him dead#that are afraid of him #and he can’t do anything #he just has to watch#paralyzed with fear #and one of the scariest parts for me#is that I’ve been in that situation #this gifset is making me cry
That's the real horror in this episode, that it's simply and ingrained human fears that are his enemy, a bigger enemy than any alien force he's ever faced. The fact that he's paralyzed makes his terror so tangible and David's acting so, so cutting. He's brilliant and this episode was brilliant.
WHY ARE PEOPLE NOT MORE EXCITED ABOUT SPACE. THERE IS A PLANET MADE COMPLETELY OUT OF DIAMONDS AND A HUGE ASS RAIN CLOUD FLOATING AROUND IN SPACE THAT IS SO FUCKING COOL.
Don’t go to the planet made of diamonds. It’s not safe there.
Don’t go to the planet made of diamonds. It’s not safe there.
FUCKING HELL YOU GUYS WE DON’T FUCKING TALK ABOUT THAT EPISODE
Can’t imagine you without a voice.

Man, this episode. THIS EPISODE. Different from other Doctor Who episodes, where the alien enemy wasn't the focus as much as the human villainy that took place on that bus. Human nature, corrupt and fearful and nervous, reared its ugly head to reveal that even the most ordinary people are capable of horrific things.
And the acting on this one blew my mind. David Tennant shines, and his pain and fear rips my heart out every time.
