Pairing: Steve Rogers/Natasha Romanoff

Summary: Steve grieves after the loss of the love of his life.

Usually after every au edit I make, I like to document the details and progress, so even though no one sees it I can look back on them and treat it as an archive of some sorts:

1) In the first scene, he originally calls out “Francesca” instead of “Natasha”, so I had to look for a voiceover and replace that.

2) Pairing scenes of young Chris and young Scarlett was super hard because the lighting was so different and I had to make it look like they were from the same scene, especially because that scene of Chris was from Eastwick, an unrealeased movie from 2002. I had to edit the letterman jacket from purple to red because I thought it’d match the team colours better. 

3) The manip of Steve, Nat, Sam, Maria, Tony and Pepper is ugly tbh but I weirdly like it?

4) I put “I’m right here.” “You always are.” In a carnival shot because they said this at the state fair while they were up there :)

5) I had to edit Scarlett’s hair from her non-MCU movies to red. Perfectionist tingz. 

6) And finally, my favourite part: the football game. I took the football team and crowd scene from the original FNL show, the Steve scene is from Not Another Teen Movie and the Scarlett scene is actually a scene of her dancing in Lost in Translation. I really wanted to do a scene of Nat watching Steve play so I had to manip her out of the LIT scene and place her onto a crowd then fix the lighting 3000 times because it was so different. As for the crowd/team/uniform, the original colours were blue with orange/yellow accents but when I reread the fic I realised their uniform/team colours were red and white, so I had to mask out the yellow and blue parts of the original clips and change its colours. Manipping the crowd was unnecessary tbh, but I thought it’s be weird if I showed a blue/orange crowd supporting a red/white team.

( One of my absolute favourite things is that in Not Another Teen Movie, Jake's football uniform has the number 4 on it, and coincidentally in the fic, Steve is #4 of the Avengers)

7) The voiceover of “clean eyes, full hearts, can’t lose!” is from the original show and I thought it’d be a nice touch to the edit.

Finally made an Friday Night Lights!Stevenat au edit after wanting to for a year and a half! This fic means a lot to me (I started it as a freshman before Ragnarok even came out and now I’m a junior which is CRAZY) and the final chapter just came out so I thought I’d pay it homage and say thank you to @beezyland for giving the Stevenat fandom such a masterpiece. Enjoy!

i haven’t been as active as i hoped, but here’s a little update; i found an old stevenat mr and mrs smith fic and read it only to realise it was abandoned before the last chapter .. and i’m so sad. anyway, i’m on vacation currently on a cruise to greece. how is everyone?
