i've been so busy this month, i haven't had time to share this

i might stretch my keithtober entries into Nov 🥺

Not much to say this time around but making the glow effect on the blades stuff was pretty satisfying. And I know that hypothetically baby Keith probably had shoes on but since there's no clear image of them, I kept him in socks to up the sad orphan energy lol.

Do you make any fan contents for VLD yourself? If you don’t mind me asking (just curious)

@indigo-altean yeah, it’s really nice to see that VLD events still happen every few months each year. A handful of us are sticking around and continue to love the characters this much.

I do! I make screenshot edits whenever I can (easiest way to browse through them is my “vld” tag).

That’s awesome to hear! I have probably missed a lot because I haven’t wandered through the vld tags for some time now.

If you don’t mind another question (sorry, sorry!), are there any events you’d suggest me to check?

There are regular yearly events that seem to be continuing, like Julance for the whole of July…Keithtober in October.. There was a Langst Week not too long ago and Kidge Week and Kidgetober events will be happening soon.

And even zines still get made, e.g. there’s a Hunk Zine and platonic Kallura Zine currently happening. I believe the @vldquintessential blog keeps track of these events. I like that the events are generally free-and-easy which provides nice relaxing vibes to participate. Plus there are Discord servers you can join where I have met awesome people.

I will take a look at those events and zines, they all sound cool (lol I even know that blog, but haven’t check it lately).

The Discords servers you mention seem to be nice places too. Are they tied to the zines/events? Or are they, like, public? 🤔 Just out of curiosity.

Most of the servers are tied to events/zines yes, except for the Langst-themed one. All aren’t public, instead I had heard about them either through: 1. joining the events/zine, or 2. people who were already members and who casually threw out invitations to other fans they spoke to. Like, they aren’t “exclusive” in that way but it’s more that they’re being careful about any drama (even though the show ended years ago lol). The server mods are lovely people and have a good structure of server rules: they wanna keep things healthy and positive. Feel free to DM me if you wanna know more :D

Oh I see, of course! Not gonna lie, the fact that they're careful about drama and try to keep things healthy is reassuring, they're tempting me haha. Thank you very much for the offer, I'll think about it and get in touch if necessary ☺️
