I mean I liked her at first when I thought she was either a) queer, or b) a v supportive ally, but then it turned out that she was actually 26, married to the guy she originally claimed was her father, and co-leading a cult that was stealing people’s organs, so... not a fan.

Lol I have no idea anymore, but the best way I know how to sum it up is: a disaster. They don’t care about characterization from the comics or accuracy in general, so the only way I can rationalize watching it to myself is to accept that it’s essentially a bad edgy fanfic of the original Archie Comics.

Glee is that one kid who does a ton of crazy shit over the years and they’re always in the spotlight and then Riverdale is their younger sibling who comes along and is like, “hold my beer.”

They do get a decently long kiss and a long hug (which is more than I’ve come to expect lmao)! And they do have some shorter emotional scenes both apart and together!

I too am pretty much only watching for Choni at this point (since with Fangs gone there’s not really any opportunity for other queer ships unless they bring Moose back or something), but I know that I’ll also be watching season 4 no matter what because I’m trash for this show. I honestly think anything could happen with the whole murder storyline because hey, it’s Riverdale.

Ohhhhh, I didn’t even think of that! Lmao my first thought was that they murdered Jughead (probably just wishful thinking lol) because of the solemnity of the scene and how reluctant Archie was to burn Jughead’s beanie. I’m kind of intrigued to see who they kill, if they do end up going that route, so I’m open to theories! Maybe they’ll kill Charles (if it really is him) or Penelope or Hiram or Edgar or one of their other numerous enemies, it’s hard to say.

Yeah, but the writers know that if they let both Cheryl and Toni escape, they wouldn’t have a chance to torture them even further! :) :) :) :) :)

On a more serious note, though, I think that Cheryl is yet to realize that she doesn’t always have to sacrifice herself to save others, and she believed that it was an ultimatum: either she would get away or Toni would, and she wasn’t going to let the Farm hurt Toni. She was probably also harboring some guilt over the fact that she’s the reason that Toni got involved with the Farm in the first place and anger at herself for continuingly falling for the Farm’s bullshit.

I was super mad about the Farm one because I was hoping that at heart the Farm wasn’t going to be that bad and thus all of the queer characters on Riverdale wouldn’t get hurt because THEY’VE SUFFERED ENOUGH, but I was especially concerned because TONI WAS ABOUT TO GET OPERATED ON. Plus, even though I know they won’t kill Cheryl off since she’s a main character, that doesn’t stop me from being concerned that they’ll try to erase her memories of the event somehow and she’ll end up forgetting Toni/think that Toni betrayed and left her, which honestly scares me so much more.

The Jason twist legitimately makes no sense, even for Riverdale (which is saying something). The whole focus of the first season was Jason’s death and “whodunnit,” and now they’re telling us that he’s been alive the whole time?? What??
