In the spirit of the season, I decided to write a really heartwarming fic where the reader cleans up Oswald after a violent, bloody murder. So erm… ahem… enjoy.

Note: Credit to @millicentcordelia and @inappropriatefangirlneeds for writing about this in the Gabe the Babe tag – you gave me an idea! Also, this is an homage to the beautiful imagine where the reader is an employee undressing an embarrassed Oswald after being shot by Tabitha in 2x07 (author – please shout out, will give credit as I loved your fic!).

This was so raw yet still sweet, it’s very beautiful. I really liked how it ended with just laying there in silence- him finally calm and asleep, it’s a very strong ending.

Aww thank you so much @violetxpurple! I really wanted to show the contrast between a bloodied, cantankerous crime boss and a fragile, broken human being who’s grieving the loss of his mother. It was important that the reader was ambitious, strong and hard-working at the beginning, and quickly turned to her compassion when she saw the cracks appearing in his armour. And… needless to say, I would give anything to cradle and soothe Oswald into a peaceful slumber!

I was not prepared for those feels.  My favorite moment is when he asks to be called Oswald.  Also I´ve two very serious questions. Does “Edwina”  know Edwige?  Gabe´s shirts in the chest of the drawers, as in his drawers, in his room? Does Oswald have some of Gabe´s clothing in his bedroom, and why?

@thegirlinthewhitejersey   Loved your fic! Well, imagine that Gabe sleeps with Oswald occasionally, he’d want to have a change of clothes for in the morning. I can imagine Oswald’s other employees wouldn’t dare say a word about it if they saw Gabe emerging from Oswald’s room at odd hours. @thisisteal, perhaps you’d like to weigh in on this question?

So yes, it is ~interesting~ that Gabe would have shirts of his in Oswald’s dresser, considering he has his own room in the house (at least in this fic and in every headcanon I have). I imagine he would stay there to comfort Oswald and, not wanting other people to talk, would keep spare clothes so he could pretend he had gotten up early to check on the boss, rather than the truth in which he stayed there and cuddled him to sleep. Oswald cannot afford to show any “weakness” he has (i.e. letting anyone comfort him/CUDDLES). @thisisteal @millicentcordelia Ahh yes this is totally what I intended for this fic! That Gabe would comfort Oswald and therefore spend a lot of time there and it warranted having his own drawer in Oswald’s private bedroom. It’s kinda like when things start going well with a boyfriend and he lets you keep some of your things at his place, so you don’t have to do the walk of shame in the morning. And I felt the need to write some Gablepot in there, given that the whole fic was inspired by the beautiful words by @inappropriatefangirlneeds in the Gabe the Babe tag. PS: I love you all!! 😘🐧

Also if there´s new shirts to change into, there have to be old shirts too .. does Gabe take them with him, sneak them out of the room in the morning, does he leave them there .. does Oswald curl up with them before falling asleep, mulling over that he probably has to tell Gabe his cologne does smell good
